I would suggest saving a little bit, and getting an A-5. Or go with the custom pro, your choice.

i think for $200 the most bang for your buck is the regular a5. you can get one for about $219 shipped to your door.

You could get a Custom Pro and then have 40-50 bucks to buy ups with. Or better yet, save that extra money for an r/t or e-grip.

un less u get a custom like tha. go wit the a-5. u don't need a new hopper wit an a-5 and u don't need to get batteries for da a-5 hopper. and the a-5 looks better than the standard 98c (not tha 98c cause tha 1 is SWEET!)Posted By: southernboy51

Go to your local proshop they might have a refurbished A-5. Refurbeshed means they sent it in to tippmann to get fixed and they didnt want the gun back so tippmann sells them cheaper than brand new. The refurbeshed ones are just as good, though. |

If its a new A-5 thats over his price budget, but I bet you could find a used one for much less.

New to the sport altogether? Then if so, for that $200, you'll need the gun, tank, and a mask at the very least. A-5 is just a tad out of the price range. I'd recommend a Model 98 Custom. But the best way to know for sure, head out to your local paintball shop and look over the shelf. There is a vast difference between looking at pics of a paintball gun, and actually holding one in your hands. See what feels comfortable to you.
Also, you DON'T want to go cheap on your goggles. During a day's game of paintball, you'll be spending a lot of time in them. You will want good goggles that won't fog up, and will feel comfortable all through the day's games. |

how about this... organize a trip to skirmish with 20 people and get an
a5 for free and then use the $200 to get a barrel, egrip (or r/t), co2,
and a good mask maybe.

its all about wat style u play and for woodsball, Tippmann is the best. get a 98 custom or Pro and definitely dont go cheap on googles ------------- 98 custom R/T 16 in. J&J ceramic SystemX N2 system 3000psi If I had a paintball for every time I got called pale even though I'm one step above untannable... well I guess I could play the PSP |

I would recomend a 98 custom or an a-5. Both are excellent stock. and both are really nice with several upgrades. Earn some more $ then buy your ugrades. for the A-5 an egrip, barrel, and a double trigger, 98 custom, respnce trigger system, barrel, and a new hopper ------------- what? |
