Just bought a C-3 and ive seen a Apexed C3 on another forum.
What im curious about is...has anyone been able to take apart the apex barrel.  It has four screws that cold the two peices of the body together but it may be glued as well.  Anyone have any experience in this.

Thanks in advance.

Take it apart! For what? The barrel consists of a straight aluminum tube that looks a like the other Tippmann and BT barrels. On the end is mounted a reinforced plastic tip which contains a rubber ramp about 1.5 to 2 inches long. On the back side of that ramp is an attached wedge that can be slid forward and back to increase or decrease the degree to slope of that ramp...controling the amount of spin imparted to the paint ball.

Can it be mounted on another barrel? Probably with some machine work! Can the whole Apex barrel be mounted on the C-3? I will speculate that the threaded end of the barrel could be machined off and with the help of some spacers the barrel could be fit to the gun...since the barrel is fixed in place with a clamping system. I say this is likely possible because of the way barrels are clamped into markers like Palmer's. Palmer can fit any barrel you desire to their markers by turning off the threads and sliding it into the clamping system.

I want to take it apart to mount the Apex part only,  directly to the stock C3 Barrel.

Only the end piece of the Apex gives the ball the flatline effect.  The rest is just a metal tube with threads.

The stock barrel on the C3 contains the markers ball detents...which id like to keep.
