Its tippmann's new finish . . .

I honestly loath your gun.  A barrel should really be no more than 12"-14" because past that you are just being wastefull.  The scope serves absolutely no purpose for aiming, so its for spotting people.

I suppose the stock is OK . . .

Fire power upgrade?

who cares how long the barrel is? i mean really it has its purposes and doesnt use any more air then a normal barrel unless of course he has a RVA on it, which he doesnt cause of the stock........ sooooo sweet gun, and welcome to the forum.

Wrong. The added 6" or so creates more friction on the ball, slowing it down (compared to a 14"). In turn, you have to increase you velocity to get the maximum range from the barrel. So it does indeed use more air. So 20" barrels you could say are not efficient. But nice gun none the less.

I'm srry but YOUR wrong as tippmann uses the cvx valve and the same amount of air comes out no matter how long your barrel is........ lol I expected more from you Suzuki lol.

GT 5.0 .... your not to smart are you.. Or just faild physics.. Think about. To hit 300 fps, you have to have a set velocity. Try this for me. Take any gun, put on a 8 inch barrel, and put your velo at 280. THEN take a 20 inch barrel (16 will do) and put it on. Your velo will probably drop to about 240, Know why? friction on the ball which intern is gonna require more power to probel it throught the air. Another way of putting it is a car. When it is on the ground it takes the wheels a little while to reach the speedometers max. Now if your in air, youre wheels will be able to spin hell of alot more freely and get up to speed faster, Know why? no friction.. I would expect better of you GT

BTW Kick a$$ marker. And for your ops gear stuff, make sure its raider. Pre raider is crap.

get a remote line for it, it will look better, and if you ever get a new stock, get one where you can make it air-thru, your gun would look 10 times better without that hose there, either way i like it 7/10

P.S. stunna and suzuki are right, soo ha!

lol you silly people Tippmann uses the CVX valve K? with me still? alright here goes.... anyone know how a tippmann works or do i really need to explain it? ok its like this...... you pull the trigger.. am i right? yes yes i am, that disengages the sear.... am i wrong? no i'm not, which in turn causes the bolt to spring forward and hit the valve.... it hits the valve at the same rate each and everytime, this causes the same amount of air to escape threw the valve no matter how long or short your barrel is. now like i stated before unless he has an RVA where you can adjust how much air goes threw the valve, in which case a shorter barrel would indeed be more efficient..... but guys! he doesnt have one. sooooo IDK maybe we are thinking on a different spectrum..... but on a tippmann a longer barrel DOES NOT, use more air, unless... for reasons stated above...........

gt 5.0, you stupid, stupid little boy..., the CVX valve doesnt deal with your VELOCITY ADJUSTER, does it?

lol do you really not know? all the FVA ( front velocity adjuster) just causes turbulance it has nothing to do with how much air comes out of the stupid marker............ still laughing................

I'm going to settle this right now because this arguement is making my
head hurt.

GTA, you have the irght idea in that the velocity adjuster on a tippmann
only creates turbulence, which is part of the problem with their air
efficiency (however i've always gotten excellent efficiency out of my 98).

On a two piece barrel, the back of the barrel seals the ball tightly in and
gives the pressure a chance to build up behind the ball without it being
able to escape anywhere else (aka around the ball). This gives you
propulsion.

The second half of the barrel is a (relatively) much larger bore size, and
therefore the ball is still guided yet not exposed to as much friction. This
doesn matter, however, as the air can new escape around the ball and out
of the porting. This quiets your shot, no more, no less. Length of barrel
only effects sound, astethetics, and utility (long barrels for pushing brush
or an air bunker out of the way, or short for maneuverability).

When you're talking about pressure, other outside forces dont come into
play that often. For example, it was a sort of myth in the paintball world
that atmospheric air pressure in front of the ball in a paintball gun caused
a slowdown of the ball. NOT TRUE. The guys at AGD set out to prove
that this was not true buy placing a lit candle flame in front of the barrel
of a paintball gun. They set a high speed camera to observe the
experiment. The candle flame did not blow out until the paintball had
passed through it and the 600psi or so wind blew it out, not the air in
front of the paintball.

NOTE: I know, however, why long barrels have such a stigma (yes, this is
from experience): every inch you add to a barrel, you are more and more
likely to break a ball in the barrel if something should disturb it or the
bore size is too small or it is a low quality barrel
*cough*32degrees*cough* and has imperfections that will result in a
goopy mess for you. His barrel is Smart Parts. Not an issue.

YOu know...  ima gonna have to agree actually with you now gt.. Because the same amount of air does come from the valve.. know matter what. The velo adjuster just creates turbulance. The more you screw it in.. the more turbulance it creates..although a longer barrel still does use a tad biut more air.. (were not talkin more then 20 psi..).... good job gt
