There is no way to predetermine what the velocity will be at any given setting.  It depends on the paint, your air source, and a myriad of other factors that change over time.

ALWAYS chrono before playing.  That is the only way to be safe.

The air source matters because the air pressure to the gun matters.  With CO2, how full the tank is matters and the temperature and air humidity matter.  The paint matters mainly in relation to the barrel.

Bottom line - there are numerous variables that interact to cause a particular velocity, and there is no way to predict what it will be unless you chrono the gun.

You should chrono every time you play.

yea their is no way to tell what it is set at unless you chrono it which i suggest you do.  It is not fun to play with a hot gun.

Most of the time the factory puts them into the box right after they put them together.  I don't think they'll set the velocity on each of the markers they manufacture.  So I recomend testing your volocity with a chrono as Rambino said
