Ok, so I got an etrigger for my custom pro for christmas. Yay. The bad news is that after spending an hour installing the "drop in" kit, (which required using a hammer... thats not drop in) it wouldnt cock. I took apart the halves again, and checked everything out. It looked good, and I was able to cock it when it was open (holding the sear spring and rear bolt down so they wouldnt fly out). It cocked and fired, so i figured everything was good and put the halves back together. Now it wont cock. Has anyone had an experience like this with an etrigger/ egrip, or could anyone just give me some general pointers for installing and using it? thanks -ws ------------- -ws |

Update: I got it to cock and everything, hooked it up to co2, and it was firing just fine. The problem is that its only firing in full auto. Ive tinkered with the little screw to try and set it to a different mode, but it hasnt worked. One thing i was confused about is when it says semi auto - 1, does that mean 1 click, or 1 full turn? and wheres the starting point, there doesnt seem to be an "all the way in" for that screw. If anyone with a cpro or a5 egrip/trigger could help me out that would be awesome. -ws ------------- -ws |

| May be the same issue I had. I have an A-5 with E-grip and it fired on auto after installing a double trigger. You need to take the trigger back out and on the rear of it is a metal band holding in a spring. Take them off and reassemble it. Should fire fine then. |

aight my friend has an e grip, i have a rt, it isnt a screw, it just turns, not inward or outward, there isnt a starting point, if u turn it from full auto once it will be on no response, but when u turn it again it will be on the next fireing mode. in other words, it is every other number that r the fireing modes, and the ones in between are no response. and my friend had the same prob with the cocking, first look to see if everything is put in right. what was wrong with my fiends,(that i had to figure out) look at the piee that says ..... inc. on it (the piston thingy) and on the bottom of it is this magnet thing, it has like a seperate slot to the side, he had it in the center of the circular thing ------------- CP with RT 14" smart parts tear drop 16oz tank Empire Reloader II the soon to be SEAL |

Totally off topic, but did anyone notice Drew08's member title? I LOL'd at that.  "Filterdodging Pottymouth" would be a good name for a band.Now to get on topic. I had an e-grip for my A5 and got rid of it because I didn't like it. I will try to be as precise as possible, but since I no longer have the part to look at, I may make a mistake or two. Also, I don't know how similar the internals on the two systems (98 and A5 e-trigger's) so that could cause me to mess this up too. If the 98 C-Pro e-trigger is similar to the A5 e-grip you should have two little white screws, one with a plus (+) on the end and the other with a minus (-) to set fire mode and rate of fire. These do not unscrew; think of them as switches like the switches on a stove top for turning on the burners. If you turn them all the way around, they just start over. The reason your stuck on auto mode is probably related to what ollieb said. The Tippman e-grip (at least for the A5) actually fire when pressure is relieved from a microswitch as opposed to when it is pressed. If you didn't use the trigger that came with it, then something may be interfering with trigger to switch contact. The metal band and spring that ollieb mentioned above is what allows the trigger to reset and catch the sear so you can fire your next semi-auto shot with a mechanical Tippmann. It is not needed with an electronic trigger. If you didn't use the trigger that came with it, the first thing I would do is swap it in and see what happens. If none of the above applies, all I can do is wish you luck. -------------
