I have this field in the back of my yard and we have this pretty big bunker and a gun port on the front of it. I thought it would be cool to fire a paintball canister out of a carbide cannon and send a barrage of paintballs toward the other team... or it would scare the crap out of them...

| try down sizeing this cannon,i have a cannon we call the "spud launcher" and we shoot potatos, (hints the name spud launcher) and once we even shot corn on the cob out of it. i got curious and deside to shoot some paintballs out of it so i put a paper towl in the bottom and and tryed it.it runs off of hair spray and we usally us three sprays then fire.but this time that wasent quit enough so we made the expantion chamber smaller and used a little more spray and i think we were shootin a little to fast to use it for scenario but it was a neet concept... |

Actualy this was the first post I called him that. The other was the second. Im done for now, so I dont get a strike. hehehehehe. Back to the topic, I would like to see someone make an air powered cannon that looked like that. Then have a midevil senerio. |

This might not be relevent but I think cops use gunpowder in some of their paintball gear. ------------- 20% of people understand percents and 94% don't, so keep them out of sigs |

| You could make an air powered one using a bycicle pump. I'm not sure if you could get enough psi out of it or not... You wouldn't need to be working any mechanics, all the air would go to the paintball, so I don't know. Maybe if it was single shot but probably not for shotgun style. If you where to hook a compresser up to it that put out something like 300 psi I'm sure you could get one going. You may have to use something a little heavier then pvc, I don't know. I don't know how strong of a pvc is available. |

its a good idea to me. just make sure that they wear ear plugs and dont stand up to the end of the barrel with their pants down. You dont even need 300 psi. I get mine to shoot a nerf football over 100ft with around 60-90 psi. |
