They should make an air tank that costs the same amount as a co2 tank but has a guage and all that so it can hold nitro. So it could hold nitro and co2, depending on which one you can afford to refill it with at the moment. Co2 tanks are not under as much pressure at ALL compared to an HPA tank if I am correct..
One of the reasons some HPA tanks have adjustable pressure regs on them, so the very high pressure air/nitrogen in the tank can be regulated down to what is best for the marker. | I thought you could fill a CO2 tank with HPA as long as you changed the valve, but only up to 1000 and something psi. It sounds like it would defeat the purpouse, but not really. Especially if you where a pumper or something. |

Its been done several times, but it kinda goes against the warranty of the tank. I suppose you could put HPA in a CO2 tank, but like said before, only about 1000psi would be safe(keeping in mind that it is unsafe anyway. |

If you put HPA into a co2 tank you'd have a nice, big explosion. I think even 1000psi is too much.... i cant remember the exact presure of co2... -------------

| The burst disk on a CO2 tank is normally set at 1800psi, normal pressures in a CO2 tank run from about 600 when it is cold out to 1100 or so when it is 90 deg or better. Steel HPA tanks are designed to hold CO2 as well. You however would need to remove the regulator and replace it with a standard CO2 tank valve. CO2 tanks are aluminum and Chrom Moly, they are not designed to hold the pressure of HPA. ------------- http://www.anomationanodizing.com - My Site

You only say they 'should' because it would be financially convenient to you. Not so much for the comapnies producing them, so it won't happen.

It is impossible to make a HPA tank cost the same as CO2. If you could do it, it would have been done by now. Unless it's a conspiracy to intice the customer with higher prices than needed or a plot to rob us all of our hard earned! Fight the power my friend. -------------
