I am looking for a new gun to mostly play woodsball with.. sometimes speedball. Woodsball is ultimatly what i play though... SO should i get an A-5 or iON? I know that the A-5 is way sturdier and stronger , but i also know that the ion can shoot way faster, and some other stuff. Also, whatever gun you pick please post some upgrades that will make a difference in the performance of either gun. EX: (barrel, board, triggers,) and any other upgrades that you love. Thanks ahead of time for the advice!

Go with the A-5. Along with it, you're going to need a new barrel, a reg./ex-chamber, and maybe and e-grip or r/t so you can shoot faster.

Ion if you play Speedball at all. A relatively stock A-5 is a hindrance in speedball.

Once you get the Ion, you can upgrade the barrel, trigger, feedneck, board, body, etc.

Which upgrades lets it go faster than the stock besides the e-trigger or RT?

E-Grip with WAS, Cyclone with QEV or the Q-Loader adaptor.

A-5, you get it with an e -grip and your set, but you could get a stock ion for that same price as a A-5 w/egrip (about 300)and you would still need to buy a hopper fast enough to keep up with the gun and an air tank. Price and Preformance-A-5

A-5 because you mainly play woods

A-5 because you said that you are gonna play woodsball but a little speedball so the A-5 is better

I had the same question and i posted wether to get the A-5 or the ion. i now have an A-5 and i am glad that i made the choice.  its better because it isnt electro wich is a more realistic feel to me and it is also more durable than an ion.  an ion also can have a lot of problems like tubes poping and other unplesent stuff.  the A-5 barely requires any maintenance.

also cost is an issue.  the A-5 and the ion are all in the same price range. but the ion will have an ending cost way higher than the A-5. this is because the ion requires an electro hopper because it shoots so fast-$60 at least. it also requires HPA because it cant run off co2(or its just really bad for it)  -$75 at least depending on how much you shoot, which will be a lot because you have an ion.  therefore if I where you i would get an A-5 because of those reasons

I'd get the a-5 because it is sturdier. The ion has a tendancy to break. The a-5 can shoot pretty fast too it just needs to be modded some.

Yes if you play woodsball definetly get an a-5.  They are very nice, durable, accurate and can be upgraded to your own desires.
