The only barrel that is reatily available to me right now that is in my price rang ($40-$80) is the Smart Parts: Progressive barrel. What is your opinion of it? It is being sold for $49.99. My requirements are the best accuracy for that price range and I need to get a better barrel cause all I have is the stock barrel on a custom pro.

Meh, get a J&J or a Lapco Bigshot. Both are in your price range, and are 10x the barrel the progressive is.

they are a big step up from stock but idk what ur talking about in ur price range?? there are all kinds of barrels you could get that are better for under 80$....you could get a jj or bigshot those work good on tippmanns but id suggest the smart parts all american...its about 75$ and its one of the greatest all around barrels ever made...

If your price range goes up to $80, get a Smart Parts All American. It's expensive, but worth it. If you're looking to go cheaper, go with a Bigshot or JJ. For $50, the Progressive is not worth it.

ok thank you, I am considering getting the all american now, though where it is available to me it is $100+ the only reason I don't get the JJ or bigshot is becuase I can't find anywhere to guy them (either than from the site = convertion to canadian and shipping) but Ill keep looking thanks for the advice.

ok so out of curiosity (disregarding all price ranges) what is the best barrel in production?

Progressive barrels are ok for the money. New they run $35-40, and they come stock on Impulses. I did replace mine, but for rec play they shoot fine with a good paint to barrel match.

I would recomend saving up $70 and buying a pipe mini kit, 3 backs and a front. The Pipe shoots great and looks nice if you care for cosmetics.

thnks for the advice but I think I am looking for a little higher quality than progressive its more the J&J Bigshot and maybe the ultralight (probably too expensive) what is the best of those?

Pipe mini kit would be better than all of those in my opinion, it is in a way like the freak, letting you size the barrel to your paint. Out of your three, I like the ultralight. However, it also depends on what paint you usually use so that you get a good paint to barrel match.

i have used progressives, all americans, evil pipes, and redz pepper sticks. of all them i liked how the pepper stick shot the best and looks really nice to. only problem is the lack of thread choices so as long as you have a 98c you can get that for about 35 U.S.

Any barrel kit. Most barrel kits shoot about hte smae depending on the numer of inserts... and so on and so forth.

But for you I would get the Lapco Bigshot 12"

Play with your gun first, and figure out what you do not like. Different people like different upgrades. I like a barrel, drop if needed, then I go for a consistant marker. After that I play for a bit, and what I do not like I either replace or buy some new upgrades. One thing could be a nitrogen tank, depending on the weather you play in.
