So I'm having a very hard time installing this HD. Its all set up and the computer reads that theres a new HD in the "drive configuation" in the set up.(Its currently set as the Master SATA HD)

But, for some reason, its not showing up in My computer.

Any one have any knowledge that will solve this situation Im stuck in?

I know that my mother board isn't new enough for Sata hard drives. That might be the problem. I don't know much else.

is it formatted? Are the sata drivers installed?

Don't blame me, I voted for Kodos.

The drive should've come with a disc, or check the website of the manufacturer. The drivers should be on their site. IE: Seagate, Maxtor, Western Digital

Well you know if it's saying there's a change in the drive config you can probably format it. You could download a linux live cd and format it with that since it has better formatting capabilities or you could "aquire" a copy of partition magic somehow. I don't think the driver is really the problem.
