ok for a steel tank do you really need a tank cover? would it be any help?

Its not needed for steel, but some people do anyway.

i see it as just another 15$ that can go towards paint or air, becuz i got a remote kit, mines always covered, so its not a necessary thing for me

Yeah if you have a remote and the tank sits in a pouch its def not needed then.

When the tank is mounted on the gun, I find it helpful to have some type of cover with a gripping fabric on the back, like the redz covers. It makes it so that the marker does not "slip down" on your jersey or whatever you happen to be wearing.

Other than that, they are mostly used to protect fiber tanks or for looks. Not to say steel tanks don't need to be looked after, they are just not as fragile as fiber tanks.

I'd get one. It'll look a whole lot better, and you'll have a way better grip on your tank. Not to mention it'll protect it from dings if you drop it.

Dings! In a steel tank? Actually, a cover should probably be installed to protect what ever is hit by the falling tank.

BTW, the 3000 psi steel tanks could likely be used to drive nails with no damage to the tank.

I have a cover in mine to hide the fact that it is steel so everyone wont laugh at me because im too poor to buy a fiber tank.

I think a tank cover is more comfortable and your tank wont move around if you get one with a grippy fabric.
