Subject: my Tippmann 98 custom

98 custom
Response Trigger
cyclone feed
stainless steel bolts
16 inch barrel(14'' J&J ceramic in the mail)
rocket cock
double trigger
stainless Steel front bolt and power tube
Aluminum front grip (Low pressure kit coming soon)

all installed by me. some people i know have professionals do it...i tried it by myself, and had no issues at all...but then again, i am a very mechanically-inclined person. basically, i'm about done with this gun....i'm very happy with how it turned out, and it does well in both woods and speed ball.

what do ya think? comments/suggestions welcome.

edit: i forgot a few things...

You should mill the top of the foregrip to make it flow.

Eh...not bad. You should've stuck with the stock internals. Mybe a little more "customization".

Any one who has said the stock internals are the best.... Is a moron.

They say it with out experiance with the products.

I know for a fact, Being a user myself, That the Dead On Proseal line of powertubes and front bolts are an ass load better then that shoddy plastic crap that is in a stock 98c.

Not only is it more durable, But it cycles smoother and faster, expecialy after a good internal polishing.

Well, I figured I'd try to save bandwidth and just add to my existing topic, rather than making a new thread. Also, this way, people can go to page 1 and see the before and after pictures.

Anywho, after some decision making, I put some of your advice to work:
Changes:
-paint
-milled front grip
-milled Tippmann and 98 Custom down pretty low, maybe i'll take them completely off at a future date. I like how "Tippmann" stands out though.
-J&J Ceramic(like i said)
-Expansion Chamber (I'd rather run compressed air or N2O, but there isn't anybody near me that does it.)
-Dye sticky grips

here's the finished product(until I get bored and decide to mill some more)

yeah, definitely consider taking the rest of the letters off later. but for now, you could paint "Tippmann" black and put a line of black on the barrel to match the x-chambet and Asa...just a thought to tie it all together. It looks really neat !

yeah, i'm thinking that for this year, i'll leave it as it is shown, but when it starts to get cold again, i'm gonna mill the letters completely off...my brother has a 98 custom as well, and we both painted the green/brown scheme on our guns. other than milling, i think i'm done.
