Does anyone know if Dell components will fit in a standard case? Specifically the back panel.

depends on what kind of dell and what kind of case. An ATX mobo will fit in an ATX Case. as for drives and what not they are MOSTLY compatable with all motherboards and whatnot.
what do you mean by "the back panel"?

my main concern. I'm not sure if they fit. I took a pic of mine, but
imageshack seems to not be working.

yes they should fit. computer parts of the same type are designed to be interchangable.

| It's a dimension 4700. I'm pretty sure it's an ATX motherboard.

Alright..Here's the back of my computer. I don't think it will fit a
standard ATX case, because I can't seem to find any cases with the same
layout. Here's a pic of mine.

I see your problem, it seems Dell does put its keyboard and mouse interfaces in an odd spot. atx cases have them on the top... thats dell for you. what are you trying to do just tranfer cases? Dell tends to make things difficult like that.

| Yeah. I would just like to throw everything into a new case. For better cooling, and more space to work with.

Well, the 4700 isn't a full size case. I think that would be expected.

Meh. I just found this thread. It doesn't sound encouraging.

I guess I'll just have to mod the case by Dremeling, etc.

Cases have changeable back panels. Just take the the panel, it'll work, but you'll have some space. around it.

Not mass produced machines.
Dell loves proprietary crap.
