Well I thought I might as well share with you all my engineering project that I did a few months back. It’s a marshmallow cannon made out of pvc, steel braided line, tippmann 98 asa, and a 20oz tank. The project was a contest at UCF my team had to make a device that shot a marshmallow 50ft to land on a paper plate, it also had to cost under 25 bucks (used 4oz pre-filled when in the contest to meet the price limit). To shoot it you simple turn the tank into the asa as fast as you can…not really inventive but I was trying to make it cheap. After a few test it worked really well and I found that if you turn the tank fast enough into the asa then the Co2 will freeze the marshmallow solid and put a pretty big hole right threw the middle. It also proved to be a pretty good fire extinguisher…

oh and HOBOTASTIC 2 is its name.

Nice.  You should somehow cut a slot for a stop with a hole in it somewhere that is covered when you have it out, but then when you push it down, you let the CO2 out of the hole and it pushes the marshmallow out.  That way it's faster and you won't blow O-Rings as easy.

That's pretty cool. It sounds like a college engineering project?

Good stuff. Now you need an on-off switch and a valve so you can genuinely fire it.

Marshmallow launchers kick ass.

It’s pretty simple. Just get pvc, end cap, air line, asa, and Co2 tank. Glue end cap to pvc, drill hole in the cap, put your air line to the hole and to your asa, and then screw on the tank.

YAh I would get a valve like you put on potato cannons so you can fire it without twisting the tank all around

Seems to me like you should have gotten an on off ASA...

Or, an On off Tank.

Would have made things alot easier.

Id hate to put your Cannon to shame but My homemade projects are better

1. A Trebuchet. Basically a Catapult that uses weights instead of rubber bands, shoots a little farther than the avrage spyder

2. A solarcar. Basically a Model solar car that won a bunch of awards, those of you that ever went to middle shcool on the east coast: Ever herd of the juionor solar sprints?

3(The Best) A hovercraft. Yeah, I know none of you believe me but its true. Its built out of a Peice of 1/2 inch plywood with a skirt made of a blue tarp, Oh yeah I forgot it uses a leafblower to propel it, And YES it works i can prove it

Nice, so the plate was like a target?  Thats cool, but you could have not used the hose, and bought a valve and 2 male-male connectors, that way you would have a valve and get better pressure behind the marshmellow.  Cool though.
