I can think of quite a few 1k tippy's if you count tanks and hoppers etc.  Mine without tanks and hoppers is close to $700.    Nice gun by the way.

Yea, tippys can easily be 1000 dollars, theres so many ups for them. I like all the chrome you have on it. Nice job.

very...very... possible because if you get a 115$ hopper and a 250$ tank plus gun excessories...  bingo!

yep, so far i've payed about $700 for my a-5, and I don't even have an LPK or HPA or anything like that yet, and those seem to be the most expensive upgrades.

$785

+ $230 for tank, and $120 for a loader. = $1125

On Model 98's the trigger guard is not removeable, so thats prolly why.

you can cut the trig guard and get a double that screws in above the asa.  it's a little bit of work tho.

^^ lol ya, i can see where yer comin from on that. i wanted a paint job on it but just left it stripped, matched the JJ ceramic, and my chrome LP, reg, and BS EM98 kit.
about the trigger, couple of reasons actually. the asa mounted guards would look way too messy on my gun. but the main reason is because of how i pull the trigger. i pinch my thumb and index finger together (right handed) and hold the little tiny edge on the stock trigger in that groove. kinda pinching that edge on the trigger. then i can somehow force my arm/hand to "spaz". it looks like my wrist is having a seizure, lol. this combined with the 3 mm trigger pull lets me shoot crazy fast, even with the EM98 kit set in semi mode. prolly even close to the legal 8.75/sec.

Waste of $1000.

Tipmanns are good guns but $1000 you could have gotten something WAYYY better.

Your tippmann still hasnt reached it potential yet...looks like all you got is aftermarket upgrades, nothing specially done.....the home mods make big improvements.

i actually very much agree with both of you. however the process went something like the sequence you see in my site. you see, i didnt have all this money all at once, i upgraded little by little and never sought to sell it, because i kept playing.
like most people, i don't have that 1k on hand at any time to spend on paintball. i just spent a hundo here, a hundo there, usually over the course of a summer. in other words, this gun hads a lot of sentimental value to me, it has been with me for a long time- more than 4 years. progress is a slow process for me.
however, if i did have that 1k or more all at once, i would have gone for that shocker or dm4/6.
