Bigshot. The added range on the Flatline is worthless in my opinion. Even if you have enough unobstructed room to take advantage at the Flatline's maximum range, the chances of hitting the person and getting a break are very slim.

Yeah, I had that problem with the flatline not breaking at a longer range.

I've seen both be very useful in woodsball. But if it were my choice I'd go with the bigshot.

if your a mil-sim/big game player, id say the flatline, but for every other possible instance id say the bigshot.

Agreed, the bigshot will let you hit and break on the person and you can always arch your shot when needed and walk the balls to the target, but if you don't have accuracy youre simply going to be missing them at a longer range. Go for the Bigshot if you are interested in being able to make a shot without having to put a large volume of rounds toward your target, therefore becoming vulnerable to return fire. (That is a very effective woddsball tactic, it has been most commonly mislabelled with the title "sniper" but its really just covert tactics, making yourself less vulnerable)

Flatline. You get a lot more distance and a flat trajectory, but you lose some accuracy. i have eliminated players because they thought they were out of range and paid no attention to me what so ever and turned the other way.

I would say the bigshot. The flatline sucks for a little bit of wind, the balls almost curve.

A flatline or an apex is really more useful for a support gunner player. They are innacurate compared to most every other barrel. The Bigshot and other good quality barrels will give you immensely more accuracy than a flatline or apex. So, only go for the flatline or apex if you play as a "machinegunner" type role. Otherwise, get a Bigshot or J&J Ceramic.

I'd go with a Bigshot. Added range isnt that great and I 'd rather have the better accuracy anyday..

I've had both on my 98 and I would definitely recommend a 12" Bigshot. It's cheaper, less paint picky, easier to use and maintain, and much more efficient with a good paint match.

I thin one of the players in the middle of this topic hit it right between the eyes saying the FL is mainly good as a 'support gunner' for cover fire. My teammate uses a FL and has ball breakages every so often with poor acuracy and no ball breakage on targets at long range.

I use a Lapco bigshot 14". Never had to clean it once. Still looks new inside the barrel after 2 years of service too! GREAT acuracy!
