If you have the E-Trigger (aka E-Grip) and a Blade trigger, then you should be able to walk it. You also might want to do the pen spring mod, to lighten your pre-pull. To do this, replace the original trigger spring with a cut to size spring from a clicky pen or pencil.

Gabby, its a stick trigger, and we've already gone over this , its walkable.

Did the trigs come in yet?

Glad to see you can login again.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the only way to walk is w/ the EGrip...

I'm pretty sure it is:

EGrip=Walkable
RT=No way in hell
Kein=Nope

Actually its referred to as a double trigger by RD.

There are some people out there who claim to be able to walk a Tippmann mechanical trigger and that may be true, or they are fooling themselves. The majority of us require the light trigger pull only available with an electric trigger.

The electric triggers are so light that virtually any double trigger will work, aluminum or plastic. And it really does require a double trigger to walk unless your fingers are extremely small...such that you could get two fingers inside the guard.

You will find that straight rod type triggers are easier to walk than the triggers with finger notches ( like finger notches on the Tippmann double trigger). You will find with finger notch triggers that you are actually getting most effective fire when you finger the high points between the notches. There is a trigger out there, forgotten the name, which instead of notches, has bumps in those positions...making it a very effective trigger.(saw a guy on the field that had cut the Tippman double trigger, turned it around and glued it back on...wasn't really a reversed bumps but it did make a pretty good straight style trigger)

You will also find that triggers that fit the action with less side to side slop will allow you a much higher ROF. You can improve the Tippman double trigger action by installing a larger diameter pivot pin which fits the pivot hole through the trigger much more tightly.

Hes just here to say, "Hey thats a cool gun" in the marker gallery and to pick fights with people.  All 270 posts are about that.  Hes just a very lonely person.

No, the E-Grip is not the only way to walk a Tippmann 98/CP.  You could spend more cash and get the now discontinued E-Bolt also, if you can find it.

Any trigger system based on an electric switch will provide the speed. Actually I think the E-Bolt is superior to the "E-Grip" electric trigger systems. But, E-Bolts have become hard to find and the few supplier who still have some are charging top dollar.

You could just take out the trigger spring and buy a lighter microswitch. 25g switches are the lightest for practical use. Some people think they're too light and go with 50g switches. You might have to adjust your debounce up a bit more with a 25g. Other than that, get a trigger that's comfortable to you and you're set. Unless you want ramping, the stock board will be fine for the speed you'll be shooting.
