I need a recipe for supper!

I really feel like a change of pace for supper, and I am turning it to the forumers to dictate what I should make.

I have a pound of ground beef and a pantry full of items, lets hear some ideas.

I would make something with rice in it but there isn't any rice.

Moist Chocolate Cake

Ingredients:

1 cup water
1 cup margerine
1/4 cup cocoa powder
2 cups flour
2 cups brown sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup sour cream OR 1/2 cup milk (or less)
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:

Bring water, margerine and cocoa to a boil, after boiled and mixed, take off heat. Combine dry ingredients and add to boiled ingredients. Add eggs, vanilla and sour cream (OR milk)
Beat.
Bake in a greased and floured pan for 40 minutes (or more) at 350ºF

Frosting:

1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup cocoa powder
3 tablespoons milk
2 cups icing sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/8 teaspoon cinnamon

Boil first 3 ingredients. Add the rest and pour over warm cake.

Or, make steak. Put the steak in a ziplock bag, pour terryaki, or bbq sauce, whatever you want. Add some seasonings, steak rub if you have any. Let it sit in your fridge in the sealed bag for a while. Take it out, put it in a nice warm pan and start cooking. Open beer, pour some on the steak. Just keep doing so. Cooking a steak with beer....so good.

seriously the best thing to do with it is get a box of hamburger helper for a buck and use that with the # of ground beef......hamburger helper is the bomb and I wish I had some right now.

I had the same problem this morning, but I didn't want to go to the store so I used a McCormick taco seasoning packet and mixed with ground beef and made some taco salad out of it

*Edit* or if you have some real pasta and some tomato products and some proper seasonings you could make some bomb spaghetti, the real deal style

^No one cares, thread snatcher! LOL

You missed out not using the beef! Wheres the quality protein? You're gonna shrivel up and die, now, good luck

But yeah whoever said beef stroganoff(sp?) that's a good one, and biscuits with gravy is the bomb! But I like to make a pan of bacon, then throw the biscuits in the oven, and then use the pan that I made bacon in to make a badass bacon-chunk gravy from scratch in the pan, and then the biscuits come out the oven the same time the gravy is done, and that is a bomb-ass breakfast right there, biscuits homemade gravy and bacon bits topping it all. Drink milk with it.

Go get some burrito wraps, onions, and peppers. Cook Beef with vegetables. Put in wraps with cheese. Roll. Put in oven for as long as you desire(just don't burn it). Now you have a cheeseburger wrap.

^Now that is a suggestion I can respect, you are a good chef. You also have well-balanced taste buds, you're tight.

pound 4 chicken breasts flat, sprinkle on them paprika, salt, and pepper. Let them sit while you get out the rest of the ingredients.

In a non-nonstick sautee pan, brown the breasts on both sides, using only a cooking spray for lubrication.

Deglaze with white wine. Add milk/cream (designed to be lowfat) and dijon mustard. Reduce, add a milk and flour slurry to thicken. Then readd the chicken and simmer until the meat is done in the middle (internal temp of 145*). Server the chicken, with some of the mustard sauce poured over the top.
