Ok so today I was wondering what is the scariest movie I have ever seen. Saw and Saw2 are my favorites but just not scary enough. Texas Chainsaw Massacre was okay but too predictable. Hostel just sucked beyond belief but I might have just had too high of expectations for it. And I couldn't really think of any others, so what I want to know is what is the Scariest Movie you have ever seen?

Umm.....The Blair Witch Project was pretty good imo...I can't really think of anything else that scared me...But the only reason I got a little bit scared at the Blair Witch Project was because I was told it was a real documentary.

As for the Exorcist...It wasn't scary at all

Movies back in the 60s and 70s, say The Exorcist, were indeed very scary. For their times! Hell people ran out of the theaters during Psycho back in the day. You watch it by today's standards and people fall asleep!

With that in mind there really isn't any scary movies anymore. The people don't make them like that, they make SUSPENSFUL movies. That's about all they can do. And trick ya into when something's going to happen with the suspense.

Example. Boogyman. A LOT of suspense! The ride up until they see the boogyman himself would have you staring at the screen. But you then see the guy and it's all "wtf" a letdown really. And now those are getting way overdone, because I'm getting sick of the ever predictable scene where there's a long silence followed by a very quick and sharp violin screech.

So scary movie, nothing really is scary anymore. I don't squirm in my seat, I don't close my eyes, any of that kind of stuff. Not many do anymore. We've all been dumbed down and desensitized so much by just regular TV that the movies don't offer as much anymore (hence why people say movies suck these days!).

Besides scariest movies, the most twisted movie (series).... Hellraiser movies. There were some sick people working on those! Even watching them today they still hold their own. They definately were on some good drugs and satan worshiping or something to have made these. Except that last one with Mark Hamill, I kept expecting him to use the force bust out the light saber.

Poor Mark Hamill

The only scary movie I ever saw that slightly freaked me out was  The Lost Boys, and that was because that movie kicked so much ass.

A friend and I went to the theaters to see Joyride...after the movie, he wouldn't take the interstate home, we drove home this goofy back road to avoid trucks on the 4 lanes.

i have yet to see a single move that scares me, unless you count a little twitch when they do the sudden loud noises, bu that's not being scared, that's natural reaction. scary movies just dont effect me, i know they're fake so i just dont care, even ones based on true stories are pretty much ALL fake, just the very basic storyline is actually based on the true story, nothing else
