i just got a new o4 prostock cocker an i was wondering how to change the velocity? and if you change the velocity does it mess with the timing -------------

To change the velocity on a 'Cocker, unscrew the cocking rod. You then stick a 3/16" allen wrench in the hole, and turn clockwise to up the velocity. Adjusting the velocity will not mess up timing. A good site for Cocker info is

Changing the velocity won't affect your timing, unless you are timed very tightly and you change the velocity a lot. Then the velocity change might require a change to the hammer lug, which could throw off the 3-way timing as well. But most likely you will be able to change the velocity without problem. |

The other way to up velocity it to up your input pressure.
It's a balance between the hammer spring adjust and the pressure. -------------
