seems sort of dumb having a gun that shoots that fast, after two seconds hes gotta reload and whoever hes facing whether it be a home invader or w/e that guys now got a shot or an escape chance edit- if your gonna shoot that fast why not just get that 9mm pistol they made fully auto? i forget where i saw it online, but it was sick....or just get an ak47 or an m16 and find someone whos really good and willing to convert it to auto....i know its possible i forgot the name of the part that they have to mill though |

More than speed in the video, and converting firearms to full auto is similar to paintball guns, just sears and springs |

depends on the situation,depends on where you are, i saw this thing on the history channel last night and these guys in ww2 were pinned by machine gun fire from japs and this one guy was the one they were shootin at and he stood behind a tree and didnt get a scratch on him....and it depends on the shot of the bullet, if its a buck shot or a slug round...if its a buck shot then yea someone prolly not gettin away, but from what it looked like it seemed like a slug round |

| regardless... its not a good idea to have a loaded gun in your house ready for an intruder to come waltzing in. plus, only 2% of the people that were home during burglaries or other home invasions actually used a firearm to protect themselves |

im not disagreeing with you, and sadly someone in ny as some of you know obtaining a rifle is relatively easy, provided you dont have any problems with the law you can get one, they should make classes required in regards to gun safety before letting someone buy a gun and take a refresher quiz/test each time they buy one....not saying it will definitely stop idiocy, but it might help. |

I've seen demonstrations on shotguns and i've seen personnaly most of those shots this guy did. I wish it was legal to have 12 shots in a shot gun. And everythings extreme now or EXTREMA2 -------------

Well all I can say is Holy Cow. Thats fantastic. I wonder if it works with the Aguilla mini shot shells. They are shorty, 1 4/5" IIRC 12 guage rounds. You can fit 12 in a standard 8 shot mag. So in a 12 shot mag? Hundreds.
Anyway, on a side note in the USA it is illegal to manufacture a new automatic firearm, or convert a semi auto rifle into a full auto rifle. The only way you could legally get a full auto capable rifle for home defence is to cough up the IIRC $200 ATFE tax stamp, and then fork out the over $3 000 for the rifle. And that's for a relatively cheap rifle. They are at a premium because you can't legally make more full auto guns for civilian ownership. You are better off getting a semi auto and sticking with that. Cheaper than official full auto guns, and less illegal than, well, illegal ones. KBK |

I havent watched the video, but Tom knapp shoots a benelli shotgun and hit something like 9 clays in the air, looked like full auto, but its not. Also lots of poeple shoot double action revolvers very fast too, I think the record is 6shots in .723 seconds. VERY fast amazingly fast

Yeah, actually double action revolvers are faster than semi auto guns, because it literally works as fast as you pull the trigger, no "waiting" for the action to move.
And this isn't Knapp, it's Bradley. IIRC Knapp was using a pump with his stock wasn't he? KBK |

Dear god. That shotgun is absolutely incredible. If it takes standard shell loads and is as reliable as it says, I could esaily see this thing having military applications, particularly for naval boarding parties and similar roles. you could but thats not what it was made for...other then that, here in
washington state, you cant own any gun thats fully auto (pisses me off)
and you cant own any gun with a barrel length of under 16
inches...(makes me mad to)...i hate this state, all i want to own is a
fully auto gun, but its imposible unless i want to fork over big tax
money...

I had some buddies in my old unit who went down tot he states for a training ex. They got to go out on a range and fire the Mk-19 automatic grenade launcher. So they're shooting it off, and suddenly one of my buddies sees a deer and yells 'STOP STOP STOP!' in accordance with our range procedures- shooting animals is a big no-no. The American NCO running the range asked why, and my buddy pointed out the deer, so the Sgt screamed "TARGET OF OPPORTUNITY 1 O'CLOCK 400 YARDS! RAPID RATE, GO ON!" You've never shot a shotgun, and that shotgun isnt fully auto, its just semi auto and he pulls the trigger fast, hes not shooting slugs, or buckshot, he's probably using like number 6 bird shot. That is a sporting clays gun, shooting clays that fast is alot more fun than shooting an automatic 9mm or anything.
ALSO: The recoil is significantly reduced in semi auto guns because the internals slide back absorbing most of the recoil, and the gun probably has a spring in the stock connected to the internals thus even more reducing the recoil. ------------- I shoot a Hoyt http://img414.imageshack.us/my.php?image=theusgovrnsucks6xn.png">

It's a Baretta 391 type shotgun with a fancy stock and extended magazine. It's not fully automatic. It's gas operated which cuts down a lot on recoil. It's also not new technology or a home defense arm. He's almost definatly shooting small birdshot, probably about size 8 and with a very wide pattern choke. A 9mm machinepistol would be horribly uncontrolable. And not useful for shooting birds or clays. A kalashnikov would be no better. first off, its semi auto, it shoots however fast you pull the trigger. it can shoot 12 shots a second, or 12 shots every ten years. and rate of fire over stopping power? have ever seen what a 12 guage can do to flesh? especially at close range, and since you seem to be bent on home defense, your not gonna be much further than 20 feet anywhere in your house. plus it is, as someone else already said, a sport shotgun. it was made to have fun, and whats more fun the 12 shots a second? |
