I took a 98 custom, dremelled the grips off, mounted in a stock. It is NOT complete yet, but you will get the idea. Another cool feature is the CO2 is contained Inside the front stock....no external lines at all.

Pretty nice. I would suggest moving the tippmann frame down more
into the rifle frame. It would look more authentic. Also,
paint the tippy, make it cock on teh right side and have a lever for
cocking that would rotate like on a bolt action rifle. Not hard
if you have the time, resources, and skill.

Thx guys....yes, I still need to paint the receiver. I used a .22 stock, so that's as far down as it will go. The next one will I will try to find something beefier to use like a .306 or.308. There are not too many military stocks around that I could find cheap. Since I sand them down and re-surface them anyway, it doesn't matter what condition they are in........so if anyone has an old Remington 700 stock they are throwing away.....lol

Nice work, maybe if you could fill in the part by the start of the barrell someway i think that would make it more cool and realistic.

How did you get the CO2 tank to fitin the stock? You're not using 12 grams are you? You won't get very many shots with them. I'm thinking it'd be tough to fit even a 9oz tank in there. Maybe those 4oz disposable ones.

I'm talking about dremeling out the stock. Cut some of the wood
out of the stock so you can lower the 98. It would look 100x
better if you only had the top exposed.

Heres what I would do..Mill the 98 custom off the side and any other milling that would make the thing smoother and flow together..Then paint it black..THEN your gonna repost your finished work cause that thing is awesome looking!

I would love to do all that to it, but it was sold as is already.....I guess the buyer wanted to be the first with an original ScubaSteve mod lol The reason it was sitting so high is because I used a .22 stock.....there was no more room to dremel the sides out....it was already thin enough with the amount I took off. Secondly, ya, it uses 12grams in the stock. It uses a 12gram holder (same one found on the Phantom), and I designed it so only the threads were visible below the barrel. Had a great look to it.....I am sure the next one I make will be more thought out.

the owners would call the cops if they saw it from far away
and you would have to explain it to them

Well, this mod was a test project for the most part. Now that I have figured out how things go together, I can start work on bigger and better mods.

i am doing the same thing right now, however ive milled off the lettering, the grips, the rear site and most of the body to make it a smaller clyndicral(sp) tube. ive got an idea for a feed system similar to the old PVC pipes we used in the old days. i wasnt exactly sure what i was going to do about the tank but i had something kinda like a skinny 9oz in the stock idea. but good job and it inspires me to know that it can be done now :D

Mill the sights, letters, etc off, smoothe it out as best you can so it flows into the rifly body more, and doesnt look like a 98 dropped in. Nice start though, it'l be sweet.
