I am working on a dual QEV for the Cyclone hoppers, This is how I hope it works. The exhaust from the Normal QEV gets directed int a second QEV, this extra air would be in addition to the spring pushing the Piston back, hopefully speeding the Cyclone up. The shaft of the piston will have to be O-ringed to stop air from exiting the piston tube and some sort of fitting ( I'm thinking of part of a compression fitting) will be needed to allow the piston shaft to move in its elliptical path. I think its doable , any Ideas. |

you would need a double action ram in order for this to work.

| I don't know , I would not replace any internals, just redirect the air to help push the piston back hopefully increasing spead. |

well there is nothing to hold the pressure on the opposite side of the ram to make it push. Therefor you would need a double action ram. The idea isn't very bright anyway. Obviously you don't know how QEV's work.

Although I value your opinion , it appears you did not read the entire post, I made mention of blocking the cylinder. As for the QEV , it is venting the gas being pushed back by the piston/ram . Why not use that gas, route it to the other side of the the piston via a QEV's input and mount it in the same fashion as it would be under a "normal" setup. When the cyclone piston moves forward in normal fashion any air/ gas trapped would be exhausted through the second QEV. That being said , there may not be enough energy to make a difference, you don't know if you don't try. |

Theres no pressure to speak of coming from the exhaust of a cylinder. Maybe half a PSI, if that. If I had a guage laying around Id measure it. But alas. -------------
