I recently bought a ULE custom from AGD. Im looking for a barrel but I dont know what threads to buy for it. Before I thought that the ULE used cocker threading but every site I see has an option for automag threading. My friend told me that Cocker threads will not work and to go for the Automag threads. Which one should I go for or are Automag and Cocker threading the same thing with different names? |

I'm pretty sure the ULE bodies are cocker threaded.

Yes, ULE bodies are cocker threaded... theres a big difference between mag threaded. ------------- A gun is not a weapon... It's a tool. Like a butcher knife, or a harpoon, or...uh, a...an alligator. |

I have never heard of a ULE body that was Mag threaded - but it is easy to check. Look inside the breach. If there are "regular"-looking threads, then they are cocker threads. how are mag threads different? are they different like 98c different or different like not screw diferrent?

They don't screw in like normal barrels. They clamp in or something.

Automag thread They are actually twist and lock I think makes the gun a little more accurate because the ball goes directly into the barrel and not just into the breech. The bolt moves through the barrel also. Since buying a mag i've realized what a great gun they are. They are so much more accurate than my other guns and seem to go alot farther also. They are the most simple guns i've ever worked with. 2 screws hold the gun together TWO you can clean and field strip the gun in about 2 mintues. 1 screw makes the whole valve assembly come out. The LVL 10 works great i like just stickin my finger in their and pullin the trigger you can put your toungue in their to if your brave enough.
