So has anyone had any near death experiences that are interesting to talk about. I have a few. This one time my friends and I were in the woods and we had gotten pretty far in. Then we had gotten a little lost and we saw the train tracks. So instead of trying to get through the part of the woods we were at which was very thick with thorns and bushes and just impossible to get through  we decide to follow the tracks out because we knew where they lead. As were walking someone chuckles and says " I bet we get hit". About 10 minutes later somoene looks back and sees a train right behind us and we all run and jump into sewage. I have no idea how we didn't  hear it. It didn't make a sound. We were lucky that day.

Another time I was walking somewhere and not paying attention and as I was crossing the street this car was speeding down it. She must have figured I saw here but I didn't and she didn't stop and I got slammed with the mirror of her car. One more step and I would've been smeared all over the pavement.

Once when I was sledding my uncle had made a jump and was "here you try it first". So he hands be a tiny saucer ment for a 4 year old. As I'm going down I pick up some speed. I hit the jump only to notice he had built it right on a drop off so I'm about 6 feet in the air going pretty fast and I lost control in the air and flip and land on my neck. I couldn't move or breath for a bit. I have had bad neck problems ever since.

When I was younger I had gotten a disease that close the airway. I don't remember what it was called but by the time I got to the hospital my airway was nearly closed. They said I had died for a few seconds and then came back.

The rest aren't really worth talking about. So anyone else have an interesting experiences?

Ha I rememeber one about some people in the woods or something and he and his friends in a van.

Well, I was at a state park and there was this canyon dealy thingy and i was up on top of it. We spotted some pretty cool rocks and we went out to climb them. When I climbed one that was hanging over the edge, I slipped on some slime/algae and started sliding down the rock. I barely caught myself about 3-4 feet from the edge. It was about a 60-70ft drop i'd say so I would've been a real hassle to clean up.

Ya kinda...Well I was riding my ATV through my woods following behind my friends ryan and patrick. Well I came around a corner and stupid cut it too close to the inside and my right tire caught the site of a tree causing me to twist the handle bars to the left while flying over them. Well after do a complete flip and twist I landed on my ass against a tree with my legs up on the air and guess what was coming right for me....yep the atv and it crashed right into m legs, luckilly somehow I managed to accidently hit the kill switch with my left hand causing th atv to slow down bfore it hit me but the big thing i the end was if that tree hadn't been there  I would have fallen off a cliff 40 feet down and had the atv land smack dab on top of me probably kill me. I did sprain my wrist but other than that I was just a lil shooken up in the end

Yep, motorcycle accident. I saw my life flash infront of my eyes as I reached the apex of my flight (power line height) then landed on my head and was almost ran over by another car.

Then one time I saw the Grim Reaper when I had a lil problem with some white stuff one weekend. I havent touched that stuff ever since.

I still ride tho. I still own my second bike I bought a few months after my accident, an 83 Yamaha Maxim. I dont drive it much but I will allways have a motorcycle, its in my blood I guess.

It's a good thing you weren't falling. If you're being paid to take someone climbing, screwing up a belay line should never happen.

You all heard about that CO2 tank that unscrewed from the valve and killed that woman right? Same thing happened to me when I was unscrewing a 20oz from my friends gun. The valve started detaching from the tank and I didn't notice. My friend saw it and pointed it out as I was about to finish unthreading it. It had a couple more turns on it before it would have came completely off. It was heading straight for my balls.

I remember Enos had this story about how he and a friend were driving to a paintball field with a bunch of CO2 tanks in the van with them. It was a hot day, so the tanks got hot, the pressure built up, and one of the burst discs ruptured on one of the tanks. He said they were almost unconscious by the time they pulled the van off the road.

my grandparents own two cabins in Payson Arizona (right by where the febuary fire was and the dude fire of like 90') we where just about to start poring the cement for the second cabin that summer, i was walking under the stairs to go down to the creek and get the water melon we but in to get it cool. there was a 20 foot drop to my right and it had just rained, my foot sliped and i fell, i missed a rock about the size of a 35inch tire by about 4 inches above my head.

another time i was refilling my dogs water bowl and the concret floor was a little wet, i slipped and my finger hit the inside of the power box on the wall, i felt like i was out for a second.

Enos's story ruled.

i got attacked by a sharp hay (chinese fighting dog) when i was little, like 5ish. it got me right on the high part of my shoulder/armpit, acouple inches from my neck.

the second wasnt really a near death, but i was driving a little 50 cc quad when i was like 8ish (fist time riding) and it was snowy. it was a light snow that covered a ditch in the ground and it caught the wheel, taking control of the quad and throwing me to the side...off a 6 foot stone wall onto pavment. i landed on my face and i was wearing a bike helmet, not a crash helmet. i guess i could have been paralyzed if i landed to wrog way.

I got attacked by a pitbull, but it bit my leg and I took the wrench I was using at the time and beat it to death. And when I was little I was fishing in a small river (My parents own a campground and I grew up here on it) and my dad was filling propane tanks about 30 yards away in plain veiw, and I sliped and went under into an eddie and it took me up and down and up and down untill I passed out, they found me about 100 yards down the river.

since we are talking about getting attacked. i was bitten by a shark when i was in the 3rd grade. we were on  a boyscout camping trip down on the beach. the next morining we all got up and went swimming and boogeyboarding. so we are all having a good time and suddenly somthing has taken a chunk out of my leg. i thought i was gonna die( i was only like 7 or 8) so turns out some baby-teenage shark came and took a bite out of my leg. there was blood everywhere, next day the beach was closed.

it got about half an inch away from my muscle or else i would barely walk.

By far the nearest death experence was hen my car got stuck on the train tracks and a train was coming. I was only about 5. I remember the whole thing so vividly. The head lights of the on-coming train and my mom crying. She was franticly trying to put the car in reverse and then in drive again and again.

Nope that isn't what it was called. I don't know it off the top of my head I'll find out. What I had was a disease I'm pretty sure. I could be wrong.

Nothing major here.  TONS of semi seriouse injurys but nothing near death.

Had one accident at work kinda wake me up and relize how quick things can go bad but i never got injured thier.  I was on a service call (im a Mehcanic i was working on school buses at the time).  So any ways turns out the Bus wont start and needs a starter (pounding on it and shorting it still did nothing).  The bus was in a school parking lot and it was fairly level and the weather was not bad so i decided to fix it their rather than tow it.

Well i get out the tools and sutch and decide to jack the bus so i can fit under the "low pro" bumper and the front axle (im a BIG guy ).  so i get out the jack and some stands and jack the bus up.  I get it jaked up enough for me to fit under the froint bumper and crawl under to put the jack stands under the axle and then all of a sudden i hear BANG and i feel the bus push down on my back and then STOP befor actually crushing me.  Well the jack literally snaped in two (the head snaped right off) and the bus fell but got jamed on the edge of the engein oil pan and the jack stand i was pushing under the truck.

I squirmed out from under REAL quick.  and started cursing and swearing.  The poor Dirver of the bus almost had a heart attack thinking i had got hurt but i was just cursing about how mutch damage the jack stand did to the oil pan LOL.  I got up never even thinking ran to the auto shop of the school asked the teacher for a jack ran back with the jack.  Jacked the bus up AGAIN and grabed the stand out with a pry bar and lowered the bus and called a tow truck LOL.

Luckly that jack stand got jamed up or lets just say i would have become a VERY skinny man VERY quickly LOL.  and Also luckly the stand got jamed on the edge of the pan and did not put a whole in the pan juat dented it.  The engine alone in that bus weights 1300lbs whole front end around 4000-5000 lbs.

BUt im glad that kinda happened it really opened my eyes.

When i was paintballing one of my friends was trying the sp8. After a game we went to the safe area. But my mate was holding the gun in such a fashion that it was pointing straight at my face. I thought nothing of it as the air was disconnected. Then i remembered that the sp8 always hold enough air to fire 1 shot after the air is disconnected. I took one step to the side and as i was doing so the gun fired and clipped my ear. if i hadn't moved that was in my eyeball.
Not really near death just near serious injury or deathbut pretty scary none the less.

Intresting...

They put me under threw these pills, then tolled me to count backgrounds from 100 I got to around 78, then they were like. "hmm.. your doing good, but could you drink this for me?" and after I drank that I basically got knocked out cold, then about 1/2 way threw I was lying there and I could see 3 Extremly bright lights and I rolled my eyes and I saw th nurse and shes like "Michael! He's... waking up..." then the doctor was looking at the Camera monitor then shifted over and looked at me, and just squinted his eyes and then they switched oxygen masks and I was like "ohh... god.. whats going on..."(then I could start feeling the camera getting shoved threw my leg(piched like a biotch), then I could start tasting the gas agian and went under, but the second time I kind of woke up I could hear the doctors really working fast and saying my Heart Rate was way to low, and some other Doctor crap and I kinda just passed out agian.

Then they put me on a little to much morphing and I couldn't hold anything down, but it was the best feeling I have ever felt...  though when it was all done and over the doctor explained Why I kept waking up and all that... (but what he didn't know if that I have a somewhat tollerance to .. "pain" medicine due I used to be a little... Addicted to them.   So I think thats why I kept waking up, the drugs kept wearing off.

An old teacher i had. Great guy, but the first time he got his wisdom teeth out, he wanted to be a man and grunt through the pain, so he says he doesnt want any anesthetics.

Second time around, completely different story.

He said knock me out.

They gave him so much drugs that he remembers thinking.

"Wow his hands are really in my mouth, wow blood, i wonder if thats my blood, there sure is a lot of it."

One time my friend and I were climbing a huge Oak tree in the back of his yard.  He was climbing the tree and all of a sudden he falls out at about 75 ft up.  On the way down yhe grabs the ony thing he can...a telephone electrical wire.  He is falling and he grabs it and it evens him out some.

In the back yard there is a huge stone fence tahte is about 2 ft wide and 6 ft off the ground.  He let goes of the wire and lands on top of the fence feet first and he is fine.  If he would of touched the ground while holding the wire he would have been electricuted and if he diddn't land feet first he could of easily broken his back or neck or been killed.

Needless to say it was hillarious!
