Let me know when you get the eyes done. I know someone with a similar setup. It's crap even with the t-board, acs bolt, pipe kit and halo. It hasn't got the eyes drilled out yet but I doubt that will save it..

1. price. the spyder is WAY more cost efficient than an ion or a trix. spyder = everything you see for 100$. dm3 or less = around 400$. ion, completely stock = 300 bucks. 2. air. while not being as air efficient, the spyder CAN run on co2. if you factor in the other guns using nitro or compressed air, add another 100$ to the price for a tank. 3. what now? sell the spyder (for around 50$) and buy a trix (around 500$)? that's just silly. ive done the calculations, and total, id have to spend about 300 bucks on the spyder for all the ups id want. while i could get an ion for 300 bucks, id have to spend more to upgrade it. while i admit those are better guns, my spyder is more economically friendly, and has yet to fail on me. i don't know why people say they suck. its a 2003 and my friend got it new, and it never crapped out on him. i baught it from him and it works fine for me. just show them love, and they'll show you love. ------------- Evil Elvis: "Detrevni is definally like a hillbilly hippy from hell"

Looks good. I don't think the drop looks crappy. It looks kinda cool. I've never been much of a Spyder guy, but I'm pretty impressed with this one. Keep up the good work. ------------- Zerglet. |

Ya looks good i did that with a spyder then parted it out and got a mag. You definately need a new feedneck. I just bought a trinity clamping feedneck but now i don't have a spyder so its just kinda sittin in my room. -------------

wow, check your facts please 1. a 03 gen e trix non aced, working can be found for about 180....not 500 2. you could find an ion on the pbn bst for like 200 3 a decent steel tank is about 55 dollars 4. a trix or an ion performs much better, not to mention arent butt-ugly.. 5.that thing is butt ugly please check your facts before arguing with someone. -------------

mr. gangster, i was running on guesstimates. if you must know the sad, deprived truth, i still would take the spyder over that. its not just the price of the gun, its the price of the accessories. the spyder, completely upped, would still be cheaper than buying a trix or an ion. also, like previously mentioned, im on a quest to make an excellent spyder. maybe a spimmy for the heck of it. its a personal thing, not just logistical. the facts may have been off, but my argument still stands. as you can see in the pics, right now im working on performance, not appearance. cut the ugliness a break... ------------- Evil Elvis: "Detrevni is definally like a hillbilly hippy from hell"

people have no sence of origionality. of course he could go out and buy a nice marker, but to make a nice marker shows dedication and independance. something most of these haters don't have. sure anyone can have a marker that doesn't stand out like an ion, Karni or an 03 Trix. but to really create a marker that is part of your personality.... that's what customizing is about. ------------- X |

Well with all the upgrades you metioned, your total would come somewhere around $450, if that's what you consider a completely upped spyder. I myself think you need much more for a fully upped spyder. Im sorry but that is absolutely crazy to put $450 into a cheap piece of plastic. Once a spyder, always a spyder. with $450 I could by an Ion with a new Blackheart board, brand new! I dont think shocktech can fix a spyder, they just know where to make money. |

keep it up...i started out with the crappiest of markers (brass eagle blade 2 which is still in use)...and one of my friends has a Spyder and another has a Pirahna so much respect for this custom spyder...and dispite some critics i luv the drop... cant wait to see it when its finished -------------
