You can put any length you can find on it. However I would not go over 14", anything beyond that will just give you less proformance with more gas usage. Remember in paintball Barrel Length doesn't equal Distance. All Straight barrels shoot the same distance.

The Flatline is a good barrel if you have the patience and time to put into it. THe Flatline doesn't just screw on like other barrels, it must be installed and tweaked, and chronoed in perfectly in order for it to work right. It you have the time and the patience to do it, I would get one. If you dont hav ethe time and patience I would get a good straight barrel like a Lapco Bigshot that will get give you better accuracy then the Flatline, but it wont give you the range.

Well, the way I see it is like this. With the Flatline you do get the range of around 150ft but the ball loses velocity at the same rate from the Flatline as it does a Regular Barrel, therefore combined with the inaccuracy of the Flatline at range, even if you do get a hit on your target the chances of the ball actually breaking are slim.

The flatline may lose horizontal velocity at the same rate, but because the ball flies in a straight path, it will reach a much larger distance with equal velocity.

Umm... also the backspin of the paintball would mean the paintball strikes the targed with much more force, because it's the force of the forward velocity as well as the force of the spin :)

Sooo, maybe at EXTREME range it wouldn't break often, but you'll still be able to mark someone out of the range of a normal barrel with no prob, and atleast have some sort of chance (that you would not have with a straight barrel) of marking a target a great distance away.

Yo Raven anything past I'd say 50' your going to have to put an arch on your shot with any barrel flatline or not.

We normally call this shot "Long Ball" and pray you hit somthing hard, like the marker, hopper or mask.

FPS=FPS, simple as that.
