So I stumbled on http://www.digitalronin.f2s.com/politicalcompass/questionnaire.php - this tonight. I took it about 2 years ago in my sociology class and I must say, I've move pretty far down and to the left....I kinda expected it though. Anyway, http://www.digitalronin.f2s.com/politicalcompass/printablegraph.php?ec=-6.38&soc=-3.95 - here are my results. You?

ps
I was really close to Ghandi this time....hmm...

-6.38,-3.95

I can't even take that quiz. Way too many questions that use words and terms I don't understand or ever will care about.

I didn't like some of the questions. They were asking for a yes/no answer to some of the questions where a simple yes or no was inappropriate or maybe inadequate.

Exactly where I figured I'd be. Maybe I should run for public office under the Libertarian party.... I could probably do good things as a Register of Deeds.

Anyway, I'm actually really surprised that I'm so much farther left than most of you guys....'course, they didn't ask about gun laws or immigration, if they had I'd prolly be a little farther right....

Yeah, I must agree that that test was rather skewed.

I was actually quite surprised by that result, but not much. While I tend to consider myself "middle of the road"... I definitely tend to lean right on most issues, and vote accordingly. The results do have me pretty close to the center... but I figured I'd be leaning a little to the right of the line, not the left.

Must've been the religious questions that put me left? Can't be a right-winger if you don't believe in organized religion, nor the implementation of religious doctrine on the public? Which I don't.

I dont like that one question; "You would always support your country no matter if it's right or wrong"

Didnt like that question... whos to define whats right and wrong. A big % of the world thinks we're wrong on half the crap we do, but thats what seperates the American Social Standards from the rest of the world.

Another bad question... "People with serious inheritable disabilities should not be allowed to reproduce."

Do they mean AIDs or Down Syndrome? AIDs = No, why spread a disease. Down Syndrome- Cant be spread through contact, only through genes. So stop people with diseases, but not disabilities.

All in all.. didnt like the test. I took a similar one in my Am Govt class and got TOTALLY different results. The one I took in class is MUCH MORE close to my actual beliefs.

TYhis 'compass' test used confusing questions that you had to really read into to get.

Probably a reasonably fair conclusion, although a lot of the questions were pretty awful.
