If you have HPA. If not, then the CP-E is the better gun for you. |

why don't you go out and try each before you let us and our opinions of
likes and dislikes enfluence what you buy. Try looking up some reviews
on both of them and weigh the odds yourself for what better suits you
and what you play, not us. One thing I have learned since I have been
on this forum or any other for that matter is, EVERYONE HAS DIFFERING
OPINIONS! It would not be accurate at all to judge what gun you should
get simply by asking others. Pbreview has plenty of reviews on both and
there are many other sites like that. I just don't want you to
buy a gun and it not be what you really want or need for that
matter! Good luck!

Ion = true electro Custom Pro = sear tripper (think Spyder) One definite advantage the Custom Pro has is ... the FLATLINE BARREL! I don't go into the woods without one. Depends on your personal style of play. Try both if you can and see which one "fits" you. |

I love my Tippmanns as well ( I have three of 'em), but I also know a good thing when I see it, and IMHO, the Ion is the all-around best bang for the buck gun in the sport PERIOD. Shocker technology and performance on a Tippmann budget and the ability to upgrade it to the moon? No contest. I would still like to see Tippmann build a marker to compete with the Ion, and no, the Custom Pro sear-tripper electro (ala Spyder) just doesn't do it for me. ------------- If I flee, kill me If I die, avenge me |

yada...even though they are not tippmann. but, it is something to think

I just got my ion today used. It's bone stock except for the barrel. The Ion is just easier to wield, quieter, and kicks less than my loaded Custom Pro-E.

I see your point, but when the thread asks about a certain non-Tippmann marker, isn't it proper to address the question? Not to mention to give legit answers, not just tow the party line? He wanted opinions, and I gave mine. If you have HPA I would go with the Ion, if not, get the ProE.
