| my sister recently got a tab energy drink from the coke guys handing out samples on campus and i was wondering if anyone here has tried any of the energy drinks, im sure some of you have.....whats your favorite? whats it taste like? how long does the rush last? are you really groggy after the effect wears off? any carcinegins in them? any comments are appreciated.....ive never drank any before, just wondering what you all think of them |

i love amp. it taste like mountain dew. the rush lasts like an hour and a half. im never groggy after the effect.idk if there is and carcinagins in them. ------------- i pawn noobs |

energy drinks don't affect me. i've been drinking coffee since i was 7. so my caffeine tolerance is high. Monster Assault is the best tasting energy drink. and of the new hybrid soda/energy drinks just comparing MDX and Vault, Vault tastes better. again, i can't speak to their effectiveness as energy boosters.

meh... energy drinks are all a sham. the caffeine in them doesn't give you energy ... it blocks the sleep receptors in your brain. so even if you are tired, your mind doesn't feel it. the drinks usually have a good amount of B vitamins in them. if i remember correctly, those vitamins help in digestion a lot. so that's where you get the energy from. if you just rely on the drinks to get a boost... you're not gonna get it. you need to drink em while/after you eat so that the stuff in the energy drink can break down the food and give you energy. personally... taste wise i like red bull and bawls. |

read my post... the caffeine effect will differ from person to person depending on how much their usual intake is. the energy that you could possibly get from it would depend on other factors besides the drink itself. |

Energy drinks don't do it for me. Be careful if you're not caffeine tolerant though-they have a tendency to accelerate your heartbeat. That's really the only thing they do for me-then again, I drink coffe and usually two to four sodas a day, so an energy drink probably isn't going to do much for me in the energy department. -------------

| im not lookin for something to drink before sporting events, im talking about stuff like staying up to study, do school work, or like when you get off a plane to help you stay awake to try and beat jetlag or something...if i absolutely HAVE to mabye ill take one before a sports game but not likely, i realize that would drain energy after a short period of time |

. I'm like HV. They don't affect me. I've been drinking massive amounts of coffee for a few years. Sobe adrenaline rush is a little bit of a pick-me-up though. It gives me a slight kick in the rear if I'm feeling a bit tired or groggy. Starbucks Double Shots are mighty fine also.Posted By: dodan44

Eric Clapton... or Cream... and the song name is cocaine. and if you just want to stay up... NoDoze. it'll end up being cheaper than all the energy drinks. and you get all the caffeine in one go instead of the time it takes to drink. maybe get some vitaman supplements as well. to study... i hear aderol works great. |

Bawls is okay. Makes me sick though. MDX is too sugary. The only good energy drink was this stuff that came in green cans... I think it was called Hansen Energy or something. Good taste and it kinda seemed effective. Red Bull is meh. |

Gah I hate energy drinks. They are a total rip-off. 1) You do not get a "buzz" or an "up" or any of that mess from energy drinks. Placebo people, it is all in your head. What you are getting, as Carbinefreak said, is caffine. 2) If you drink Coke or coffee or tea regularly, your body has adjusted itself to be able to digest large amounts of caffine. You are getting nothing from that overpriced little can except disgusting pee-drink... -------------

I dont get a rush from energy drinks, but I had 3/4 a vault at about 7 pm last night and couldn't sleep till well after 1AM.
