well, i know it has a g36 rail, but Its mainly an M4 SOPMOD, but I havent come up with any names for it yet, i was think either M36c, or G34A1, but it is mainly based off an M4.
No im not in the army but I am signing up, im only 16 at the moment turning 17, going into Military co-op at my shcool.
All my gear is army issue from an army store down the road I know. The sho owner keeps me up to date on gear and new things he gets.Yesterday he showd me an army issue JTF-2 tac vest, it was humungous, then he told me the vest was 450 CDN, i was liek wow, but 11 M4 mag pouches is alot on that vest.
OH yes im Canadian
and SEAL6Operator is that U in ur sig, i noticed that front sight off another A5 ive seen

I know but its based on an M4 SOPMOD, I need that G36 rail to keep my M4 HG in line with the gun.
I try to base it off an M4 SOPMOD, but everytime I show people my gun and call it an M4 SOPMOD, i always get into arguments about my gun having useless non performance things on it or its not an M4 or la-di-da.
Its a MILSIM gun so i try to make it as most realistic towards a personal assault rifle I would use in the military and the attachemnts i would use on it also

Candian foces use the diamaco c7 and c8, basically copy replica verisons of the m16 and m4, but different i think heat deflector and different magazines.
Well.. ok its not an M4 SOPMOD
sorry
Its hell i call it a M-36A2
since most people get in an argument with me over that rail ro something else on it.
And the guy at the army store is not lying, i garantee, well i dont know if its an official but, it CADPAT and it was one big vest, well I think one of Canadian special focres use it, im just thinking JTF-2 use it.
Because most NAVY SEAL vests or SWAT vests are sold to the public also

We don't use those garbage Thermold magazines; we use stock aluminum 30rd mags.
The newest C7A2 has a carbine stock, an 18" barrel (as opposed to 20" on the C7 and C7A1), a C79 Elcan optical sight, and a pair of picatinny rails on the front sight, plus green plastic furniture and sight. Those are the substantive differences from M16s. There are also vertical foregrips that can attach to the handguards.
Of course, this is all reg force stuff. In the reserves we're stuck with the C7A1 (fixed stock, 20" barrel, older version of C79 sight, all parts are black). The A1 hasn't got any of the high-speed tactical stuff on it, though some of us go on our own hoook and buy a picatinny rail for flashlights and foregrips, etc. Helpful for doing urban stuff.
Regarding the vest, if it's authentic JTF model it should be made by Pacific Safety Products. I also suspect it would go for well over $450, unless the store owner doesn't realize what he's got on his hands. A lot of reg force guys (particularly PPCLI) would kill for one.
As for your marker, it's still a slick MILSIM either way, though you can't call it any particular weapon. Still, not a bad job at all.
You mentioned joining the reserves as a co-op placement. Just to satisfy my curiosity, fire me a PM and let me know which unit you're joining. Who knows, I may know someone there.

LT. ILLES... im joining the amry too, but i think im gonna go reserves first, maybe you should consider that too (unless thats your plan) if you join the full military your stuck for 2 years and thats not so bad, unless you hate it, so i figure getting a taste for army life befor joining is a smart idea

Well, imma do the military co-op first and see, then after that i will join the reserves. Because one of my goals, well may seem way to impossible for most of you, but I plan to be apart of the JTF-2. Its one of my main goals now to hit all thier physical requirements. Ive been training everyday in school, runnning, boxing staying fit and getting stronger everyday

*shudder* Oh boy...
Yeah, the military co-op is the reserves. I have a friend in St. Catherines who did the same thing; she got paid for the co-op, and ahs continued training and working with the Lincoln and Welland Regiment.
If you want to get into JTF, I wouldn't advise even considering it as a reservist without at least 6 or 7 years in. You simply won't have the experience to be useful to them, aprticularly not within the reserves. I'm not saying it isn't a good goal- I've known reservists who've done it, but you want to be very experienced before you go for it.
Last night at the unit we had an announcement that the new Canadian Special Operations Regiment is looking for personnell. It's a new high speed outfit, mostly infantry with organic armour, artillery and engineer support, and they're recruiting form the reserves as well.
You may want to consider sticking with the reserves getting some post secondary education, then going out for CSOR or a tour in Afghanistan. Either would give you a better idea of what the reg force is like, and whether you want to do it for your career.

Thanks for all the insight, its better for me ot know more before I actually join the military, but Ive tried auto mechnaics for Co-op and I didnt find it amusing or that much fun, so my other second passion is MILSIM paintball, and ive found myself learning mroe and more about modern day tactical gear, weapons and different units and tactics of CT units across the wrold.
