Hey All,
I got an awesome deal on an IMP, I don't care if you have opinions about the IMP save that for later, and I was wondering, the IMP has a LPR and operates around 100-something PSI. Would a low pressure tank be better or a high pressure tank? I'm selling my gun so I won't need a high pressure tank.

If you already have a HP tank, just keep that. Theres not really any advantages of buying a LP tank when you already have a HP one.

I don't. LoL, that was a "to get" thing that I put in my sig, nvm about that, taking into account that I don't already have a tank, Low or High, should I get a Low Pressure tank or a HP tank? I won't have my Tippy, so I don't really need HP, but would a LP tank be better for a LP gun?

I've used a HP tank on my Impulse and Shocker without any problems, since it has the maxflow the output pressure on the tank doesn't really matter b/c the reg. does its job.

Thanks chron, I realized that but I was still wondering if there was any reason to get a lp tank vs. a hp tank for some reason.

It really depends on your secondary regulator. The CP reg manual recommends a low pressure tank if your gun is running less than 200psi. I notice the difference in consistency between my Custom Pro-E w/lpk (~350psi) and my Ion(175psi) when using the same CP shorty reg.

i really dont think it makes a difference. ions have a lower operating pressure than that and its recomened to be used with hpa to avoid shootdown

^ so it doesnt matter if you use a high pressure or low pressure HPA tank on a ion?

It shouldn't as long as it has a reg, i think.
