| I did a search already, but I was wondering if polishing internals really affects accuracy, noise, and air efficiency. I'm not interested in doing it because "it looks cool". Has anyone noticed any real performance benefits by polishing internals? I have also heard Tippmann doesn't recommend it.. What is with that? |

it makes the path of the bolt smooth meaning less friction for the bolt to move..so you can turn your velocity down thus saving air -------------

It doesnt "look cool" because no one is going to be able to see inside your gun but you. It does decrease friction, which in turn increases efficiency. As to whether or not it improves accuracy, it may. I did it to my own A5, and it smoothed things up considerably. ------------- For I will wander to and fro, I'll go where I no one do know, |

| I would guess that Tippmann never said that (reffering to they don't reccomend it)... Because they don't purposely spray the inside of the gun, it's just overspray. |

exactly. I did it anyway tho. you have to be pretty stupid to mess it
up, just as long as you are careful and take your time it'll be fine. I
even lightly sanded the powertube where the front bolt slides back and
forth to make it slide easier...just an idea. It's pretty simple, just
take your time and do it right the first time. all it takes is a little
polish and a rag or if you have some laying around, use steel
wool (000, I think-it can't be too course or you risk taking off too
much).
