This will probably be the final version of my AK-47. I removed the
drop foreward and replaced the original tank adapter. I think I'll
probably keep the double trigger though.

THIS PORTION OF THIS POST IS NEW:

Seems not too many people liked the double trigger on the AK so since
it's not that hard to change, I went ahead and made the change. Here's
the latest look for the AK project. Changes are, double trigger gone and
upper site rail moved to another gun. Site is not mounted directly on the
gun.

you should probably ditch the g36 folding stock and get an ak47 style one. just my humble opinion.

my bad. the thing that goes down on the front of the a5 looks like the butt of the g36 stock. looks great.

p.s. what kind of stock is it?

It's an AK-47 folding stock from Opsgear...not the G-36 version. It's just
hard to tell from this angle.

Here's a couple of other older photos...stock folded out:

And with the stock folded in:

Note these are odler photos with the drop forward still installed.

I'm a former Sergeant in the USAF.

The helmet is a plastic version of the PASGT Helmet. Here' a link:

Looks great nauzer, though I'd love to see some dry-brush effect on it.

If only you could move the mag back over the gas line. Not all the way back because that's not the case with AKs but enough so that it looks more realistic.

I mean, it's badass enough. But doing that would make it look better to the point where it was worth spending the time.

I don't know... maybe it's just the camera you're using but your guns always look so clean and trim. They really do justice to show how great milisim guns can look.

Thanks DT, I appreciate that! It's always nice to get favorable comments or
feedback in this groupl

I usually take the photos right after either painting or cleaning them. I use
two cameras, a Canon EOS 10D and a Canon Digital Rebel. Both are SLR
cameras. I also usually run my photos through a couple of Photoshop filters
to ensure good focus (if possible) and color tone.

I didn't really realize that you guys really paid much attention to the dry
brushing article I did. Thanks, it makes me feel like I might have
accomplished something. I probably will drybrush the AK soon.

Very awesome gun, but as a matter of opinion I would lose the drop and get a gas through stock.  Nice gun though.

Read my first paragraph in the first post and you'll see that I have removed
the drop. I'm not a big fan of the gas through stock and haven't even seen
one for the AK style paintball guns.

I love the drybrushing and it's nice to see some home made milsim AK's. However, I'm not a double trigger fan and a drop with a stock just looks wrong to me. That's really my only beef with it.

However, I like the stock a lot, it has potential. If you decide to modify the gun a different way, i would be a perfect fit for either a Galil or a FAL para version. The stocks are essentiall the same. No AK variant that I know of has that stock except the Galil.
