i have a response and a cyclone...does that have anything to do with my C02 running out of gas faster....i need to know what i can do to make my shots as strong as the beginning of the co2....would a expansion chamber work or do i need a regulator????????

they say the cyclone and the R/T uses excess air.....i wonder if that is really true....

an expanison chamber converts liquid co2 into gas so youll get more shots per tank and it will be better for your gun, you only need a regulator if your using HPA.

alot of people will say that the cyclone and r/t do use excess air and  and alot of people will say they dont

A Palmers Stabilizer is a regulator and it works better for CO2 than a Expansion Chamber. I would definatly recomend one.

The A-5 itslef is a gas-hog, the cyclone has ntohing to do with it. I have tested A-5's with and without R/Ts and they have both proformed about the same. Part of the problem with CO2 is that with high ROF liqiud CO2 will get into the valve causeing velocity spikes and fewer shots per tank.

^ i find that with my r/t installed , it uses up more air

It will, because at the higher ROF of ~15bps you are getting liquid CO2 into the valve thus decreasing the shots per tank.

Have you done any scentific test to this conclusion? Or are you just going by unfounded observations? You have to do some research before coming to conclusions.

Polishing your gun's internals will reduce drag on the moving parts, and should give you a few more (not many) shots per tank. You shouldn't be running anything smaller than a 20 oz Co2 bottle, you aren't going to get anywhere with a 9 oz.

You should do the anti syphon mod to your Co2 tank. It's cheap, it'll make your gun more consistent, and if you add an expansion chamber, it'll only work better.

Hpa is really the way to go. It's cheaper and easier to refill, it won't freeze up your gun, and it gives better shot to shot consistency without needing extra regulators or expansion chambers. For an A5 you'll want at least a 68 3000 size tank.

Ok... Your shots per tank with HPA depend a lot of the quality of the fill. And I doubt it uses a noticable more amount of air, if any.

Back to the original thread... When a CO2 tank nears empty, the internal pressure drops, dropping your velocity. Theres nothing you can do about it.

don't forget the fact that you are just plain shooting faster...so it will seem that you run out of air faster...like and illusion or something.
