Well, not really my style If I were to spend $700 on a "real gun" I would go out and get a M-16... but w/e. I would not suggest a scope for any paintball marker, they are worthless. You might look into another barrel, like the Lapco Bigshot but I am unsure if you can put any otehr barrels through that shroud.

But then again if i shot someone with an M16 when were playing paintball ide probably go to jail. I think a scope is a sweet idea tho for shooting around in my back feild, i got so much land i set up some targets , it would be fun to usethe scope. I think ill invest in one. Also that shroud might cuse a probleme ill haveto see.

We live in CANADA, silencers for paintball guns are not illegal here, I am not posting info on how to make one, only that I will be helping him by making him one.

So you can buy a machine gun in the US but putting a silincer on a paintball gun is illegal, thats must really suck

I do not know the specifics about Canadian Gun Laws, they normally are more strict than the US laws though. But I do know silencers are illegal in the US without a specail perment. This is a US based board. Therefore we obide by US laws.

No actually our laws are not that strict as a matter of fact most people here have guns, we just don't purchase machine guns and stuff like that.
So if you get one of these "special permits" can you then talk about the paintball silencers, how would you buy one if they are illegal, and if you then can make your own, how would you be able to do that considering that fact that discussing info on them or posting of how they are made are illegal.
So how can you make or buy one even with a permit if it is illegal to talk about them or manufactor one???

Man this whole permit thing, that must be quite the process to get one, must cost allot of money too I bet?

Sounds awfully hard to enjoy the game though and focus, running through the woods with your silenced gun in one hand while holding you permit out in front of you in the other, tripping over logs and branches, falling face first on the ground, then getting back up and running again, I suppose you could laminate it though, that way you would not get any paint or dirt on it.

We should all try not to be so serious, after all it's just a game isn't it, a fun game I might add

i think you should get a laser pointer and tape it to your barrel instead of a scope, it would be more useful

The gun already has a laser attached to it, mounted not taped, as for the scope i use mine to pick off players in the woods all the time, just because you cannot get something to work for you does not mean that someone else does not have the ability to make it work. Besides in woodsball a scope is great in speed ball which you plobably play a scope would be useless, but in the woods it helps you find hidden targets, people who play woodsball do not dress in bright team colors, they have a tendacy to dress to blend in

A scope also leads to tunnel vision. I have shot so many so called "snipers" from behind using scopes from behind because they are looking down their UBER 1337 5n1p3r scope and not at their surroundings.

Having a scope unfortunitly offers no protection against stupidity, not all players are bright enough to only look through the scope when they are trying to verify a target or to fire at an opponent that is far away.
1)I use mine to find holes in bunkers that players are hiding behind, while my teamate keeps them pinned down I fire paintballs through the holes in the branches until i sink one through.
2) I use mine to verify that what i am seeing is another player, they are not on my team, and i have a clear shot at them, while doing this they are to far out of range to be effective against me.
3) I work with a teamate, the teamate watches for anyone approaching while I pick off other players who are in the distance, or pin them down so that my other teamates can move in on them
4) 95% of the time I am not looking through my scope, only when firing, confirming targets and moving from one location to another so that I can confirm when I get in the open the spot I am heading for does not have someone aready sitting in, nothing like moving straight for the person trying to shoot you

Dude you should have done your market research .... a Araikon Elite that you bought for $700 US can be bought off Ariakon's website for $599 US ..

Or you can get it off actionvillage.com for $569 ...

But seeing how most places have them out of stock, I guess that makes up for the "have it now" price that you paid.

Honestly when I had my armotech/araikon elite, it looked cool, but it was really to heavy.  The scope was just not worth the weight, and a red dot in the middle of the day is pointless ...

Plus the wieght of the thing ... then it would not shoot over 120fps ....  Got rid of it and called it a learning experience.  But I hear Araikon has been pretty good since the company split that formed araikon and armotech as separate entities.

hmm...i think scopes are only good for looks when customizing your guns in paintball. other than that they are garbage. paintballs dont go straight so you cant look through a scope expecting ur shots to always go straight, it just doesnt work like that. and playing woodsball with tons and tons of woodsballers i have never met 1 player who ever looked through their scope shooting at people. talking to many players about using scopes and lasers and all that stuff, they say mounting a laser is the best way to go. but any how nice gun looks pimp and kinda heavy as well.

Yeah you and Robbie will be getting the paintballs in the face even with his new tippmann, with the warm weather the last bit of snow might even be gone.

I hope Curtis comes too, I would like to get another chance at painting his white suit green, should be a big crowd this weekend. We should setup somone with a video camera that would be so cool to watch afterwards, especially with all the new bunkers.
We would probably have to dress who ever it is in bright orange though

Ohhhhhhhhhhhh Yeahhhhhhhhhhhh

Yeah you might be right.
But man is it ever sweet, I grew up hunting allot and in the woods, so I learned that movement and sound is the worst enemy, movement draws attention to a spot and sound draws focus.
When you use a surpressor you must be smart about it, first you camo yourself and your mask, next find an accurate long range barrel, then remember, it suppresses the sound, kind of muffles and confuses the person, but paintballs can be seen coming through the air, not like bullets. because of this you need to fire in 1,2 or 3 round bursts, that way they cannot follow the paintball back to the origin. Even if you don't hit them all right away it scares the hell out of them. Then when they try to move position they have no real idea of the angles so they can walk right into the line of fire, hoping they are covered.

They are illegal here, any sound reducing divice for a firearm (Canadian firearms deffinition of a firearm is a barrelled weapon from which any shot, bullet or other projectile can be discharged and that is capable of causing serious bodily injury or death to a person"

silencers and supressors of anykind are illegal UNLESS it is a mock silencer/supressor in canada.

In the USA you need to get licanced to have a supressor for a firearm and you need to pay a 200 dollar tax on it.

Your mil sim marker will not look so good with a big tank and loader on there, if you want a marker that looks real you get a RAP or RAM marker.

Well that is really something, my friend is the president of a hand gun club and knows more about gun laws then anyone I know and he showed me the legislation and the write ups of the exclusion of paintball guns.
Also for quite some time both in Canada and the US silencers for paintball guns were manufactured by companies and sold. then the US changed their legislation and the NRA did not step in to try and help because as far as they are concerned painball guns are not guns, but Canada never followed suit and made the same changes.

Paintball suppressers are legal (in the US with out the tax) as long as the suppresser is permanently attached to the barrel and the barrel is permanently attached to the marker.  They made paintball suppressers illegal because they did tests and found out that they can suppress firearms.
