Have you taken your gun apart recently? It sounds to me like you are either missing your ball latch or it is turned around.

I have noticed that when you unscrew the front 3 screws to install the flatline. It will leave the reciever halves loose enough for the ball detent to fall out of its groove and/Or get pinched between the halves.
You might want to take the barrel off and see if this has happened.

It's called "latch" in Tippmann speak. Either way, that's probably the problem.

The detent is missing or mis-installed.

You must completely unscrew those screws for this to happen, and that isn't necessary to install the Flatline on an A-5. Just loosening the screws a couple of turns is sufficient, and you run no risk of losing any parts.

Remember, he said $15 CAN. That's what? $2US? j/k. You got hosed, but no worse than here. Called my local shop, they wanted $6 USD for one. Just added a couple to the order today when I bought my J&J. $2 each.

That's an outrageous price, especially since you can call Tippmann's service number and they will ship you one for FREE.

It could be, but double feeding is becoming a common problem again with modern force-fed loaders. Halos and q-loaders can actually put so much pressure on the ball stack that it will actually push the ball in the chamber out of the way over the detent and double feed. Thats why some modern electros have dual detents.

Yep... thats the q-loaders fault. I would replace the detent, and if it doesn't help, find a weaker spring for the q-loader I guess...

Well if you wanted to get adventurous you could install an autococker ball detent in the side of the gun as well.
