how do u send it to tippmann, how do u knw if it needs to be reblasted, and could u get charged for it? -------------

You'll need to put 100k balls through it before you should even begin to think of getting the barrel re-blasted. Tippmann says the majority of the barrels sent to them for blasting don't require it, but they'll do it anyway. The last I heard (a couple years ago) there was no charge. I've put over 50k balls through mine. There are some obvious scratches, but they haven't hurt the performance any. Cleaning your barrel regularly with SOAP AND WATER will keep it working it's best. You are on the Tippmann site. With just a few clicks of the mouse you can have a telephone number that will connect you directly to a tech who will tell you to look on the web site for the shipping address. He will also tell you to put a note in the box telling them what you want done and possibly a credit card number with which to pay shipping. It takes about 10 to 14 days before it is back in your hands. A year ago it was refurbished for free. Unless something horrible has happened to the inside of the barrel (You do clean it periodically with dish detergent[Dawn is good] and hot water, don't you?) You will fire 50 to 100 cases through it before the bore begins to show wear and get too smooth to grip the ball. |
