I got a question that i was hoping to find the answer to here. I have a compressed air tank that I use for my Ion. Its a Pure Energy 72/3000 tank. I was wondering if switching to any size 4500 tank would increase my shot count with it, and is there any differnce between a low and high pressure tank. I have the money for a good tank and I would like to invest in one. Im just not sure if I should use a low or high pressure tank. Thanks for any help with this!

Output pressure. LP typically runs at 450 psi output, while HP runs 850 or so. If you currently run a high-pressure output tank, and switch to an LP tank, you might have to fiddle with your inline reg a little, but it should still function. You may find some shootdown at higher rates of fire with LP, too, if your tank doesn't have great recharge rates.

For the same/similar size tank, going from 3k to 4.5k pressure rating should get you 40-50% more shots per fill.

The tank is no different, the only difference is the built in primary reg's outlet pressure. On a high pressure tank it'll be about 750 psi, on a low pressure tank it'll be about half that.

You Ion has a built in secondary regulator, so go ahead and buy a high pressure tank.

My local online store have gotten about a 200 batch of CFs and about 150 or so have had bad burst disks and broken regs.
