Nice gun, but it's mechanical, so it's not going to be able to keep up with most of the guns on the field. You can get a used Karnivor (which rips) for a hundred dollars less. There are at least three of them for sale at pbnation.

$700 for a mech cocker?  It shouldn't be more than half that, frankly.  Maybe a little extra for barrel and anodizing, but that is obnoxiously expensive.

12 tops.  Dye makes some awsome stuff, but not for that price.  If you really want "that" marker, call them and ask them to lower it if they could...

Best thing to do right now if you want a Cocker is Build your own, you'd be suprised how much cheaper a cocker is when you build them then have them prebuilt.

04' Cocker($200) with.

  • E2-Frame($250)
  • Bob Long Torpedo($60)
  • CP 1-piece classic($40)
  • Planet Eclipse Dart Bolt($50)
  • Check it. Sure fit Feedneck($30)
Thats $630 worth of parts(including marker) and that would put that Dye Cocker to shame.

I've got one of these with a full-size body, the Reflex model. The pneumatics are OK, but nothing special. The milling is beautiful, and mine is by far the lightest full-size Cocker I've ever shot. However, that price is outrageous. If you really want one of these, prowl the PBNation BST forums, they turn up there fairly often.

Actually, if you think a full-size would suit you, PM me. I think I might be able to hook you up, maybe. Here's a pic of mine...

One other point I forgot to mention: You'll come across the Psychoballistics versions of these, too. They're called the Lightning (full-size) and Superbolt (mini). Unless you're buying one for the sole purpose of having a mule to bolt parts to, or for turning it into a pump, steer clear. The quality control on those was awful.

Pump Scout-- yours is a reflex autococker? whats the difference between the reflex and the ultralite? they look the same but on paintballgateway.com the reflex is like 150$ more. Also-- do u ever have any problems with that gun? (chopping)
I had played w/ a spyder from 03-04 and quit paintball because of it. i had no $ to buy a good gun and all the spyder would do was chop every fking game, i hated it.

Nope, no problems that aren't self-inflicted. I had one accidental discharge (trigger is set really light, especially for a mechanical gun), and short-stroked the trigger once. All it did was not feed. I probably don't need to carry a squeegee when I use the Reflex, but I do out of habit.

The Reflex is a full-size body, with a standard vertical air port, whereas the Ultralite is a MiniCocker body. On the UL, the vertical reg goes into an adaptor that's screwed into the bottom of the front block. The Reflex is a little longer, but I like my guns a little bigger like that. As you can see from the pic, it's still plenty compact.

As for the price difference, couldn't really say. I did see that both are pictured without a regulator, so you'd want to be absolutely sure one comes with the gun. These guns are still well over the price of a used one, especially since you can typically find a gently used DYE Cocker around $300 or so. Or, if you know who to ask, sometimes quite a bit less.

That is a high price, but prolly worth it.  If you want a small gun, look on that same site search Mini Orracle

they are $300(usally sold out) they are really nice looking
