I have been thinking about getting an automag.

My problem is though is I can only get co2 around here.

Will a mag run on co2 alright?

Also, can you put a palmer male stabilizer on an automag? They are the best reg for using co2, but I have never seen one on a mag.

It depends on the valve.  Classic mag valves will run on CO2, RT/X-Valves will not.

The reason you don't see regulators on mags is that the valve IS a regulator.

Ok so then an expansion chamber is all a person would need then?

what threads are the barrels for mini/automags?

I've never seen an x-chamber on a mag either - don't know if it would be good or bad...

The threads depend on the body.  Older and "standard" mag bodies are mag-threaded for barrels.  ULE bodies are cocker threaded.
