Yesterday, I took of my R/T so I could play with a small group of guys I just met, and with others that i knew pretty well----we decided on a "no auto" rule, and even though the R/T isn't full auto, I took it off, only to realize when I got there that 4 guys had A-5's with a flatline, three of which had the R/T, and the fourth had E-Grip....those four and two other guys with 98's were one team, and me, along with 8 or 9 other new/beginner players were on the other team. To put it mildly, we were annihilated... About 5 minutes ago, I just went out and tested my R/T after putting it back on. It's working great, but when I had emptied one hopper, I realized that one of the two screws holding the power tube/valve to the right reciever was gone. My guess is that (because I was really ripping on the R/T's highest setting), the force of the CO2 forced one of the screws out. Yep, just replace the screws and keep an eye out for them from now on. I think alot of it has to do with the factory. When you get your marker new the factory doesn't do the best job of getting all of the screws tight. It happened to me and after I replaced the screws, I made sure that they were nice and tight and I haven't had a problem with it since. I check it every so often, though. ------------- NASA and the Americans spent millions of dollars and hundreds of hours to develop a pen that would write in space.....The Russians used a pencil. |

actually, they put loc-tite on them to hold 'em in place. There is a
lot of vibration and movement, especially on those two bolts. They are
not that long, so a little thread sealer (loc-tite) is neccessary.
Anyway, once you unscrew those screws one time, they are subject to
coming loose simply because the thread sealer has lost is adhesive
abilities now that the "seal" has been broken. It goes on as a liquid
and hardens to prevent the bolt from coming out. Anyway, when you
replaced the power tube to put you r/t compatible power tube, you
disrupted the loc-tite. Thats completely normal. However, its not good
to operate it without all of the bolts on there. All you need to do is
simply get another bolt, maybe two or three while you are at it and put
a little teflon tape around it and screw it back in. Be sure not to
over tighten; you may think you need to because the other got loose,
but, if you over tighten them, it will most likely strip the threads in
your valve. Good luck man, I hope this helps!

It's more likely that you forgot to screw it in or didn't tighten it enough. I used to forget to put things in the gun like the ball latch or trigger guard and curse at the poltergiests for taking them  ------------- Don't hate the player... Hate the game. |
