There are a lot of different boards out there, but basically, they all improve your rate of fire.

Ramping is when you pull the trigger to a set rate, and then after that, the gun automatically goes up to a set rate of fire.  So lets do an example.

Lets say you set it to ramp at 5bps.

So you pull your trigger to 5bp, and then once the board like senses that, it goes up to 15bps on its own (or whatever it is set to).

This is suppose to be illegal, but you technically, refs can't really prove it when they shoot your gun.

You should be able to switch the boards.

Most of the boards can be bought from any online paintball site, including the maker of the board.

Check out pbreview.com, they have reviews on all paintball products, and links to websites that sell them.

Good luck.

Two places to start a search and gather some very good info on function are the Wicked Air Sports http://www.wickedairsports.com - http://www.wickedairsports.com  and Tag Sports http://www.tagsportz.com - http://www.tagsportz.com  web sites.
