so says this owner at a local shop i went to yesterday. I asked the guy: "Do you carry any upgrades other than Tippann's, such as Ops Gear maybe"?

Store owner says: "Well..we only deal with Tippmann parts because other after market company parts DON'T FIT Tippmann guns correctly, and they give nothing but problems"

Now, i'm looking for a Special OPS A-5A2 Stock(or any other stocks other than the actual Tippmann for that matter), is this really no good?? I think Tippmannn stocks are ugly and refuse to buy them.

I think this guy is full of **edited**..

HeLp..

Well I will only tell you what I have found within the last two weeks. I have an opsgear folding stock that works just perfect and fit great, tight but it fit. Rather it be tight then loose. I also have a us military gear gas thru clip, which is just about the if not the exact same as the one ops gear sells. I then have a barrel and fake sup. by PRO TEAM DIRECT.

Everything fits great with no problems!!

This is just what I have experienced.

That guy is indeed full of crap.  Non-tippmann parts will fit just as well as Tippmann parts into the gun.

I have many non-Tippmann parts on my Tippmann.  It really depends on the product - some aftermarket parts are indeed crap, while others are quite good.

I would have to agree with Rambino some parts are good while others are just crap. I also don't like the Tippmannn stocks and went with the Tapco T6 fits tight looks right.

most aftermarket parts will work ok.  Some have problems.

don't bother replacing any internals if it ever comes to that.

u can use any aftermarket products that state they are designed for the gun. Some companies only produce aftermarket components. The guy running the shop was just trying to make a quick sale. I have an A-5 with lots of upgrades and not all of them are tippman and they work awesome

It bugs the crap out of me when I hear someone who has no idea what they're talking about passing on rumours as fact to those who are just learning.

Yeah your shop owner, just like my shop owner is a cheap slime bag!

Most smaller guys refuse to carry quality brands and new supplyers like ops gear. You you dont always need to buy a high end part for it to work right. I seen a saw stock from ops gear that was really kool but too expensive so I bought mine from TAPCO.com for half the cost.

No you don't always need to buy genuine tippmann a5 products, just look at this forum. Half the things listed here are home made or modified from other supplyers.

check out "engler paintball" or "US military gear"' and you'll see what i mean.
