| I have a Tippmann Custom Pro with a cyclone feed system, Response trigger, and Palmers female stabilizer. The stabilizer hasn't been broken in yet I think. Anyways, I am using 1/8 hoses on my RT/cyclone and the cyclone works fine, it spins and everything. But it is chopping balls every game I play. I'm not using cheap paint either, (Draxxus Dusk). What could be the problem? |

turn down the flow rate on your R/T, maybe that'll help. maybe the R/T is firing faster than you can feed. also, expensive paint doesn't always equal good paint. i learned that same mistake earlier this week . other than that, i'm not too sure. try using the search option, and looking on other sites too. good luck finding the problem ------------- 98 Custom milled;painted;J&J Ceramic;X-Chamber;R/T;Cyclone. |

| Well It isn't the paint with the thin shells for tournament use, it's a fairly thick shell. I can't get a QEV for my cyclone either unless I use the smaller hoses. They don't have a barb for 1/8 hose. Should I just get something else? (Q-Loader) |

^ probably not, I would say it is most likely your R/T being too fast
for the cyclone...Especially with those 1/8 hoses! Try tuning it down
just a little at a time to see where it stops chopping. I had the same
problem and you just have to tune it down. People really under-estimate
the potential of that little r/t cylinder!!! Are you sure you can't get
a 1/8 barb for the QEV? have you checked at different places?
Please let me know, because I was going to get one too.

NOPE! the cyclone will never break good paint, even if you outshoot it's ability to feed. When you outshoot the cyclone, it skips, it doesn't half-feed. You should probably still think about a qev. Also, when you break a ball is there paint actually in the cyclone and all over the front bolt, or is it just in the barrel? If there is only paint in the barrel, it's a barrel issue and has nothing to do with the rest of the marker. If there is paint on the bolt and in the cyclone, it's still not the cyclone breaking the paint (unless the paint is really really a bad batch or cheap). It is the fault of the bolt hitting the paint too hard, also meaning it's a pretty bad batch or it's too thin. Try a new case of paint (preferably different brand) and make sure there is no oil/paint on the front of the front bolt, inside the barrel, or in the cyclone. You should also dryfire a few hundred rounds to break in the reg too. If that doesn't fix it, call tippmann, or go to a proshop. Yeah there is paint in the cyclone and on the front bolt. There is a little bit of paint on the front bolt still but that should be ok. Oh, and I'm not sure where I could find a barb for 1/8 hose, I know that I e-mailed someone at Palmers and they said they didn't have one for 1/8. |

| I contacted tech support, and they said it was the front bolt chopping and not the cyclone, when there was paint all inside my cyclone. They said that the paint was shooting outside the feed into the cyclone. How can this be if the next ball is behind it, there wouldn't be enough space for paint to get in. They said I should get the "anti-chop bolt" when it comes out. Is it just me or does this sound like garbage? |

| tippman will send you the larger outlet barb and hose, just contact tech support. I you increase the size it will help. The r/t is really the problem, the cyclone will not cycle fast enough without sufficient air. cyclone, a grat feed system! be patient you will get it worked out, if not contact me I;ll help ya! |

They are correct, the cyclone will not break balls on it's own unless they are incredibly bad quality. There will not be much paint on the bolt, most of it will be in the cyclone. that's what we are saying. try tuning your R/T down a little bit. start with the small screw all the way in, so that you can fire once or twice, and then you can't pull the trigger again. this means your seals are okay. start twisting the screw out, and experiment with the rates of fire. the farther the screw comes out, the faster your ROF(rate of fire) will be. ------------- 98 Custom milled;painted;J&J Ceramic;X-Chamber;R/T;Cyclone. |

No, breaking-in doesn't mean that it starts to function. It means that it gets better in the precision of its regulation. The Palmer, when first installed, stabilizes pressures about 100 times better than when operating straight from the tank...and it gets better. -------------
