Hey there, since I began playing paintball I've used a Tippmann, Impulse, Brass Eagle POS, Ion and shocker. And of course everything is swell, excellent markers for great companies (Except the Stingray II, of course). But I want to expand my horizons and try new things. And of course after reading the subject of my post you can safely assume I have questions about Autocockers.
Firstly, what is a good autococker forum? Like this forum for Tippmanns and IOG for Impulses, whats the forum for Cockers?
Secondly wheres a good site to purchase cocker parts and upgrades? FYI I get most of my stuff from actvil.com and they do have a nice selection of WGP products. Also what company poduces the best aftermarket parts? Shocktech?
Third, I was looking into the prostock or superstock, any opinons/suggestions?
Lastly there are an uber amount of upgrades for cockers (here is the link to the actvil page http://www.actionvillage.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/eCS/Store/en/-/USD/BrowseCatalog-Start;sid=k-k5bMm1om85p42ZKXP5xMMT24Ycf_1pCEg=?CategoryName=paintball-gun-parts-and-upgrades-autococker-gun-upgrades - upgrades ). I know bolts and detents, whats everything else?
And if there is anything else you would like to share please feel free, thanks for the help.

Autocockers are pretty cool, and the sky is the limit with upgrades and add ons. 'Cockers are truly the gun where no two are alike.
I haven't checked in forever, but WGP used to maintain a good, active forum on all things Autococker.
There are a few good tech articles on Autocockers at http://www.endlesspb.com - Endless PB that explains the basics, such as timing and whatnot, if you unfamiliar with how that works.

WGP's forums are down. Have been for a while. Oddly enough, there are some very sharp people who hang out in the Cocker and WGP forums on PBN. Conquerer, Wolf, Vantrepes, RRFireblade, and several others come to mind right away.
For aftermarkets, I'd snap up Eclipse stuff if you can find it. Shocktech is pretty good, too. I have a personal preferance for DYE's hinge frames (but not their pneumatics, those aren't any better than any others). Basically, you can easily build a Cocker out of 100% upgrade parts. Everything that comes stock on a Cocker can be swapped out with something better, lighter, more refined, or nicer looking.
Welcome to the money pit. Have fun with it!

when buying one, get a 99'-04' not sure how the 05's are but last time i looked there was only one after market horizontal reg for them.
in my opinio the 99'-04's were the best years for them.
also cockers are a big money pit, have fun opening your wallet to find nothing.
