Just bought a new A-5 stock and plan on using it that way for a bit to see
what I want to add, however I do need an air setup.
CO2 is obvisouly the cheap easy, but it seems if I invest in a CO2 tank for
the short term, then I need to either just dump them later or buy into
Palmer Reg and vert alignment, etc. And by the time I've made CO2 a
good performer, I would have been better off getting HPA right off the
bat. Is this a fair statemet?
Also, I'm a woods style player. And when I go to fields in my area they
require you to use their paint. No big deal, but that seems to make the
Flatline a bad investment since you can't guarantee good paint to make it
perform like it can. Is this a valid statement or am I just spending too
much time on the web? Seems like a quality one-piece that can eat
anything is better here.
Finally, I'll tell you what I plan on getting and you can tell me if I'm on the
right track or making a noobish error. I THINK off-air sounds the best,
but I will play stock for a little to see if a drop-down would be better. But
if I get a low end HPA tank (PMI - $70ish range) can I avoid the Palmer
Reg cost for now? I guess I'm not sure what else is required to run HPA on
the A-5, do I need a Reg so I don't damage the marker? No store here, so
I'm at the mercy of the internet. I also don't want to clutter the marker
with upgrades.
Next buy guesses:
A Lapco or like barrel followed by the air location setup, on or off, etc.
And on that note, is the drop forward that Specialops uses for their
Dagger availble anywhere off that marker? I like the position of the tank
pointing forward.

You only need a high pressure preset tank to run HPA on a tippmann marker. I'm at the mercy of the internet. I also don't want to clutter the marker
with upgrades.

Barrel is usually first upgrade, followed by either firepower upgrade (HPA)or regulator/expansion chamber if you have c02. pointing forward.Just turn around the ASA on whatever drop you get. |
