I'm having a serious efficiency problem. One 20oz tank is hardly enough to empty my hopper. I can only get maximum 300 shots out of a 20oz tank. I have an A5, with rt, 32 degree 6 chamber expansion chamber, and I just replaced the valve and all orings except the tiny one that comes in the oring kit, not sure where it goes. I did a dry fire test and when the tank was full it was great, rt was like full auto, but after a few full auto bursts, everything started to freeze up. It started to snow out of the trigger and velocity screw and it was shooting snow chunks out of the barrel. In less than 300 shots the cyclone stopped working and the rt trigger was firing single shots. I used a pretty good amount of oil but I didn't glob it on when I rebuilt it.. Is this normal or is the A5 the most inefficient gun ever made? I mean before I replaced all the orings and valve I played and used 2 20oz tanks in two hoppers and two 100 round tubes. My old custom would more than double that. It stinks because the second round we play half way through I run out of air and the cyclone wont feed and I get lit up. |

| What is the temp outside, one you freeze op your gun the seals shrink and become hard, they don't work properly until the gun thaws. |

As fast as I could make it, which I don't feel is that fast, only because it wont continue, only fires fast in bursts. If I had to guess 8-10 shots a second. Cup seal is in the cyclone feed right? I think I'm going to hold off ripping that thing apart. |

don't rip anything apart. Leave the gun alone for a while and make sure
it's room temperature. Have you tank filled and hook it up. shoot the
gun regular speed (with your finger) , don't let the r/t engage. See
how many shoots you get. If you still only get 300 shots per 20 oz
tank, examine all of the ity-bitty o-rings that are around all of the
fittings on the r/t and and the cyclone (banjo T and flow adjuster).
Make sure they are actually in place and are not lost. air could be
escaping out of those. check the fitting right behind the r/t cylinder
inside the gun also, to ensure good o-rings...Keep working on it, use
process of elimination. There are only so many things that could go
wrong. Take your time and don't panic, we are here for ya!

sounds like the normal ineffeciency of co2 when firing fast. If the gun freezed, too much liquid is getting in. I fired my a-5 in my basement with my rt at 20bps and the gun never froze or refused to fire after two 7 second bursts.

Definitely a CO2 problem. Your x-chamber isn't up to the task. How is your tank attached? Are you good about carrying it valve up? The best way to isolate the problem would be to try a nitro tank, and see what your efficiency is with that. Ok heres the update. I took a full 20oz co2 tank and started firing one shot at a time about 1 shot a second. I made it to 490 shots but.... the cyclone feed didn't work for a shot or two at 200, and 300, and when I got about 400 the cyclone would only work every few shots and when I hit 420 it never spun again. Thats 70 shots without the cyclone working. Answers to above questions. I have a 32 degrees drop forward with 32 degrees six chamber expansion chamber. Also when I was firing I felt the liquid enter into the expansion chamber, all of a sudden it felt like something rushed in and the expansion chamber got real cold. Should I try a remote line? Would this help the CO2 expand. I mean as I was shooting at like one shot a second, I had snow start to fly out the sides of the expansion chamber, one of the field strip bolts, and the trigger. Thanks in advance for the help |

Where? I guess it doesn't matter I replace the whole valve with a new one. The o-ring I was talking about is a little tiny black one, not a clear one.

look at the link below the the bottom of the page the last part on the left, http://www.tippmannparts.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=catalog.catalog&categoryID=12&searchfor=&startRow=1 - http://www.tippmannparts.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=catalog.ca talog&categoryID=12&searchfor=&startRow=1 it is the cup seal , stem, and seat. back to your problem, I think Rambino hit on your problem, are you holding the gun down when you test fire , because if you are liquid CO2 is entering the marker. Anti siphon added to your tank works wonders. Have a professional do it for you if you are not absolutely sure of what you are doing. |

I held it down a little not much though. What is an anti siphon, I have never seen those. The problem is that I have 5 tanks, how much do they cost to get installed. The o-ring on the cup seal is flat, the little black o-ring in the o-ring kit is round, so that can't be right then. |
