If you have the Response Trigger, then I would suggest the Cyclone. The two working together is always nice.

The cyclone is the most reliable feeder I've ever seen besides gravity. You know it will always feed, and you will only need to replace parts every few years, and Tippmann will probably send them for free. With a QEV you can get some great feedrates if it's appropriate to you. If you are planning to change to another gun like an high end electronic, I would not suggest the cyclone because you can't bring it to your next gun, but otherwise, it's the best hopper you can get and you can't beat the price.

Well, on a 98, the RT and Cyclone eat the gas like its candy, so you better have HPA, or something to keep you using more air.

Smart Parts Ion
Tech T Bolt
CCM Feedneck
NDZ Roller Trigger
CP Razor Drop Forward
Virtue Board
CP ASA On/Off

not true... they use excess gas
iwould reccomend the cyclone unless you think you will get a non-tippmann later... if you do that then get an electric hopper

guys thanks for the input. sounds like the cyclone is the way to go. I need to start shoppimg a new barrel too. I'm not a flatline fan and I don't want think I want to deal with a freak system however I don't mind spending a few extra $$$ for a good barrel. I'm looking @ 14" anything larger seems bulky. Any reco's here?

what kind of paint do you normally use? This will allow us to give you a more accurate suggestion.

I'm pretty loyal to the Evil balls. I learned my lesson early on about cheap paint.

cheap balls are not good in any case, but it's good to match the paint
you use to the barrel you are going to get. Good paint to barrel match
ensures better accuaracy. All paintball brands are a few hundred-ths of
an inch different from eachother and so are most barrels. To help get a
good match, take a paintball you normally use and go to your proshop.
Ask the guy working there to let you "see" a few barrels so you can
make up your mind. Tell him what you are going to do so he doesn't
freak out or anything. Pop one of your paintballs in the barrel and
hold it up to the light. You shouldn't be able to see much light around
the ball. If you do, it's most likely too small. If there is no light
at all, it's probably too large. Then, put the barrel up to your mouth
and blow slightly. If it comes out with relative ease, it's a good
paint to bore match. If it slides out on its own, it's too small. If
you can't blow it out without a big breath, the ball is too large. I
know it sounds like a lot of work, but you will appreciate the time you
take now to get the right barrel for later! Good luck.
