i played today at splatter park, it is located outside columbus. a player had been lit up (i did not shoot him) and i was standing on top of a mound, as he was walking to the dead box he shot me from about 10 feet. as the game was ending i confronted him and he brushed me off. if i did not have respect for the sport and the example set for the younger players i would have kicked his ass and been done with it. my only other option would have been to "narc" on a 40 year old man. i dont know, i just think there is no room for people who act like that in the sport of paintball. what does every one think?

Wow dude... You use less punctuation then me... See I do this "..." a lot. and when he shot you, you should have turned and unloaded on his ass.

P.S. you can say ass here... you don't have to say A$$

that's too bad, dude.  people like that don't need to be around the sport.  people get lit up, it's part of the game whether intentional or not intentional.

fighting for anything other than entertainment (both/all parties aggree) or selfdefense are just stupid.

lighting him up would have also been stupid.

if it was over shooting on him then he should have gone and talked to a ref. when he shot you, you should have gone and talked to a ref.

people who get a temper and break the rules dont belong around paintball. it creates a safety hazard.

There will be jerks that participate in every activity. You just have to be tolerant. There really isn't a whole lot you can do to make it better, only make it worse. Maybe they'll grow up some day...

^no you dont. zero-tolerance is the way to go. people are going to be jerks get rid of them. thats the way ive always played when i host renagade games.

But you're also sending a message that no retaliation will be done upon those who DO act bad, also.

Keep in mind that.

When we play, it is always renegade games( I asume that is what you mean, when it is not at an actual PB field?). We had one guy last year that would always lift his mask after bieng hit, I went up and told him that if he wants to keep playing here he needs to leave his mask down till he gets to the dead zone, we want to play safe and keep all coming back, plus the more we play safe when others play for the first time, then they will want to come back. He under stood, and it never happened agian.

The word gets out both on the possitve and negative, and people listen evefn if it is a PBfield or a renegade field.

Now what do to about wippers, we havw on guy who wipes like crazy. I guass last week when they where playing (I was'nt able to play). my buddies said that he was not a happy camper, I guy kept tagging him, and he would say that him was'nt out, even though there was bright green paint on him, he got caught trying to wipe against a tree. I heard that he whined alot about it also, the guy play well exept for this, watches lanuage, not a jerk. We just want him to know that we arenot going to tolerate it this year, we  are thinking of a way to make him the prime target, if me and four others areon the same team which auslly happens then we will put one man on him if he gets out then the next closes guy will go for him.

it's unsafe if you are closer than 5 feet and they don't know how to properly tighten them.  but they should know that anyway.

i have seen lenses on JT masks crack when hit at close range. not to mention if they flinch you have a good chance of hitting them in the neck/head which can realy hurt someone.

It's nonsense like that that is dragging the sport into the gutter.

40 year old, eh?

Then he is old enough to know better, and if not he SHOULD be treated like a child.

That's not an outlaw game, that's a supposedly professional field, hold them to the standards they should be holding to on their own.

All it takes for evil to triumph is for people to stand by and do nothing.

Lots of people give paintball a bad name. Mostly all those tournament guys who think they're all that. But paintball is mostly full of good people, from what I've experienced at least.

Not the idiots that run off into the woods unsupervised and unregulated?  At least we have rules regarding velocity and physical contact.  When's the last time you saw a bunch of renegade ballers chrono their markers before going out to play?

O and to whoever asked how we deal with whipers......

Capital Punishment FTW!

when we had renegade games we would all croney at the proshop before we went to the woods AND we would use a hand held throughout the day to make sure everyone was safe.

we used a strict set of rules to keep the game safe and never had a problem with people breaking them.

just because renegade players play in areas that arnt designated fields doesnt mean we just go raise hell.

the group i played with had a ton of respect for other players and the property we played on. it was alot more fun playing with that group than it was at the local field. the players were by invite only and we got to play in some of the coolest areas ive ever seen.

Yesterday at a tourney a ref pulled the rest of our team off the field for one player "arguing".

He had a lot of spray in his hair and got called on it. Not feeling a hit he asked where it was as he was walking away. For this they pulled one guy. They then pulled me giving us the loss(We lost one off the break and one shortly after). This was like 30 seconds into the game.

The other team must have thought they were shooting off the break gods because they didn't see any of it and continued to play noone.

Yeah we missed the finals by 6 points.

In the end, I still like rules.

That's pretty much how it is where I used to play, but for some reason the guys that organized it quit, and since they own the field we can't play there anymore.  But we had a chrono and we would chrono several times a day and if you were caught cheating in any way you were given 1 warning, and if you break a 2nd rule you get kicked off the field and can't play anymore.

those refs are stupid.  i hate amatur refs who think they're good because they're doing a tourny.  i've had so many bad calls from people like that.  my team is anti-cheating in practice and tournaments, prolly the only team there that was anti cheating, and we where getting called out without getting shot while the other team, the "local favs" wiped an average of 3 times each game.  and it was so obvious.....
